Just curious, is anyone buying Harley Bentons these Days? The reason I ask is I just noticed the Euro is now worth $0.99.
That has to be the first time in years (if not the first time ever) the exchange rate has been in out favor!

None for me - Horrendous return experience on my first HB, so it was my last HB.
I'd like to have one of these:
At $400 shipped it looks like an amazing value for what you get.
International shipping scares me. I've been hoping to find one on the used market but someone here keeps buying them up.

I would LOVE to buy some HB's...but I'm way overloaded with guitars.
The Big Tone is one I've wanted for years:

I have several & found them to be good values even when the exchange rate was not as favorable. Most recent was this one a few weeks ago

I've wondered about their acoustics how do you like it.
I bought a bunch last year. I have cut back since I ordered my new Bronco which is scheduled to be built next month and probably delivered right before Thanksgiving...
They moved production to Indonesia just like Squier Classic Vibes and they are every bit as good at half the cost or better...

You see me pretty much posting a NGD for a Benton twice a month these days . The "higher end" ones are absolutely incredible. That said, I don't benefit from the exchange rate since I get all mine used from good ole GC.
Whoever do you mean?
Always wanted to try them. I almost bit on a 335, a V, and a Mustang but .... didn't.
Wanted to buy 2 at a time to offset the shipping but it just never came together.

I own a Harley Benton CLD-41, which is a "clone" of a Martin D-41. Bought it about five years ago in the "Great Benton Goldrush" on the old forum, during which I purchased a total of nine HBs from Thomann. The one I still kick myself for passing on at that time is the Flying V, though I know that a guy who goes by the handle of @JeffBeck scored one . . . but I digress.redman wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 10:02 pmILuvTeles wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 9:16 pm I have several & found them to be good values even when the exchange rate was not as favorable. My Harley Benton acoustic sounds so much like a Martin dreadnought that my friend who owns a real one looked truly disgusted when he tried it. He wasn't horrified because it sounded bad; he was horrified because it sounded so good. Funny how a cheap clone can illicit that reaction in people.

Loving it! A friend also bought one & I did a set up on his. A couple high frets, but otherwise good shape. He is also loving his.redman wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 10:02 pmILuvTeles wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 9:16 pm I have several & found them to be good values even when the exchange rate was not as favorable. We don't have any Harley Benton's in Thailand but I did see a news piece about Harley Davidson opening a new dealership in Bangkok... apparently Thai cycle riders want to kill themselves on more stylish bikes these days
