Yesterday evening I did something I seldom do these days, listened to the Friday night Opry live.

lets you listen to WSM 24/7 365 & to me "The Mother Church of Country Music" is about the only place where you can find listenable country music these days.
I decided to listen because I knew Tommy Emmanuel was going to be on. But I was pleased that Mike Snyder was one of the early acts last might.
In case you don't know who Mike is, he is one of the best banjo pickers in Nashville & surrounds himself with other pickers who are equally as good on their instruments
which makes his performances a pleasure.
Mike has been an opry member for the past 30-40 years, I'm not exactly sure. He hails from Gleeson, TN which I've heard him say is part way between nothing & nowhere.
He is the slowest talking, most country sounding I've ever heard on the opry. And it is real, not put on.

Anyway he said he hated this pandemic thing because he couldn't tour as live performances were a no-no.
So he basically just stayed home & watched TV, alternating between fishing shows & porn.
His wife walked in one day when he was watching a fishing show & asked: "Why don't you switch it to porn?"

Mike responded: "I thought you didn't like porn?"

She replied: "I don't, but you know how to fish!"
