I apologize if the embed is screwy. This is my first recording and SoundCloud upload. I had a blast making this loop and jamming over it. Here is the description I give for this -
"Relaxed posture, eyes closed. Good speakers or headphones.
Now imagine. You're about to leave your home. Your sanctuary. You have to open the door and step into...The Wasteland. You steel yourself for whats to come. Pumping yourself up, doubting your abilities. You grit your teeth and turn the doorknob.

Good playing.
"The man that hath no music in himself, nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils. The motions of his spirit are dull as night, and his affections dark as Erebus. Let no such man be trusted."

Thank you! I’ll be honest. The war in Ukraine and emotions therein are the inspiration Behind the veil.
I sat down yesterday, warmed the fingers up for ten minutes and took that in one take. It just felt right.
I have a template in my head with timing and where to try to place my lines. The ~60s mark is the portion of the tune that goes with “pumping yourself up, doubting your abilities”. It’s a portion of firm / soft call and response. I wanted to play with emotions, tension, and ambient noises (feedback, etc) to convey the “feelings”.
