I remember watching onewhere the flat out said "it's too windy...we're not going to ba able to bring the rockers back in one piece."
They stuck the landing on all three. It was an incredible show of engineering and capability and was most inspiring.
Tiven SpaceX's success so far I can only believe that a visit to Mars is a real, feasible goal.
