WOW @toomanycats that is a gorgeous top on that guitar and let's face it there are lots of LP style guitars like Agile's and others that are great guitars but IMO the Gibson LP remains the king.

that is one beautiful guitar! Congrats! Maybe the first buyer just didn't like the neck, that would do it for me, no matter how beautiful or fantastic it was otherwise.

Just saw this thread.

Good grief, that is a beautiful guitar. My favorite burst, too. Big congrats, TMC!

Gorgeous guitar @toomanycats! After reading your review I decided to scratch my Les Paul itch last night and ordered one. I hope mine is as good as yours!

Since this thread has been recently bumped, here's an update on this Les Paul 11 months into ownership.

For anyone wondering how reliable and rock solid a Gibson of recent vintage is, since last November I'd estimate that I've played around 150 gigs with this one with no problems whatsoever. Tuning is rock solid, the tone is classic Gibson, it is in every way a dependable professional tool that can be relied upon to get the job done every time you take it to work. In fact, I'll be taking it to work in just a few hours. The least worry on my mind, amongst the many anxieties about things that can go wrong at at gig, is the thought that my Gibson might let me down. That just doesn't happen.

There is nothing I feel the need whatsoever to change or upgrade on this guitar. It is the perfect Les Paul in my opinion.

Here I am playing the 50s Les Paul Standard onstage this past Sunday afternoon at an outdoor biker event.

I was looking at a 2021 this past weekend. The build quality was WAY better than the ones I handled 3-4 years ago. The people running the show may still be jerks, but they are letting some well built guitars slip out the doors again.
