Last week @Brentona & I realized we each had a guitar that we were not playing.
But he wanted mine & I wanted his, so we did a swap.
Each guitar was worth about $3500 so he mailed me his & I mailed him mine.
I'm in Wausau Floriduh & he is in Mooresville, NC.
I received his last week, no problem.
Mine got to Charlotte, NC last Saturday.
Then to Monroe, NC last Sunday. And there it sits today.
I have complained to the post office on my end
and he has complained to his post office on his end.
Mooresville is a few miles north of Charlotte NC.
Monroe is a few miles south of Charlotte NC
My postmistress has been unable to get anyone to answer the phone at the Monroe, NC post office.
I'm thinking about filing an insurance claim tomorrow morning.
Anyone got any ideas what we can do???????????????????????????????/
I ain't believing this sh**!

What method did you use to ship it? Can they confirm that it is indeed at the Monroe location, or was that just the last scanned location? I generally only use UPS or FedEx to ship guitars so I'm sorry I can't offer an more advice, hope you get it resolved as I know it was a pretty unique guitar.

There's no downside to filing the insurance claim...it will make them get off their butts and find the package
file the lost item claim, I have done it a few times and it generally ends up with the boss for the local postal unit giving me a call if stuff was put in the wrong box or sat in the wrong bin. at the very least it creates a record and will often ping on someone's radar.

Exactly! When I had a guitar disappear in shipping, I tried to start a trace, and start an insurance claim. Instead of taking responsibility, FedEx tried to claim they delivered it to me and refused to file a claim. So right away, I filed a police report, and the police eventually found the guitar at a pawn shop. The driver stole it instead of delivering it, and he pawned it. It still took too long to work it out, but reacting right away and not let the trail go cold helped.Tonray's Ghost wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 8:46 pm There's no downside to filing the insurance claim...it will make them get off their butts and find the package

Exactly, a similar situation happened with me and once the claim paperwork was submitted, the guitar was delivered the next day after languishing in the USPS ether for three days prior...Tonray's Ghost wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 8:46 pm There's no downside to filing the insurance claim...it will make them get off their butts and find the package

I would rather blame .gov ineptitude. It’s a more tangible and readily understandable concept!! LolLightWingStudios wrote:BUMP! LOL!LightWingStudios wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 8:40 pm Relax and give it a few more days...COVID-19...things ain't runnin' like they used to.
