Live at Georges Club, 12/1965 - 1/1966
Just got the CD. Not hi-fi recordings, but sounds great.
Amazing how good Hendrix was playing before he was famous. Same guy, same basic talent, playing R&B covers and blues.
Included are rippers like Drivin South, What I Say, Aint That Peculiar, Last night, Come On. He is killing it on most tunes played. Probably having more fun than when he was top billing, toward end of his life.
"The man that hath no music in himself, nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils. The motions of his spirit are dull as night, and his affections dark as Erebus. Let no such man be trusted."

I’m anything but a Hall and Oats fan, but they do have one song I like – Family Man. I liked it way back when, and lately I’ve stumbled into the live versions. I don’t think there is a bad live version, but here are three great ones - very different on some ways, similar in others.
With Cheap Trick, at Daryl’s House. Earthy rock and roll, Rick Nielsen style, very tight.
In Montreal – Intro from Nugent’s StrangleHold -
In Sydney. Very polished, almost too polished, but the bones of the song carries it. Extremely tasty lead guitar. At 3:46 Daryl looks over in appreciation. He's a simple guitar player, but he knows quality when he hears it.

I'm listening to a recording of a Camel show from 1979.
Such an incredible classic prog band...but so unknown in the States. A real shame.
