Gauging interest here -
Would anyone be interested in a lefty 000-28 in the uncommon Cherry Sunburst? I have been told that it is the second ever produced, the first belonging to the owner of Southpaw Guitars from whom I purchased the instrument from back in 2011.
I have a natural 000-28 that I am bonded with and the CSB does not get picked up. Tossing out a casual feeler.

So I just tried to custom shop a model to the specs I have and Martin does not readily offer the Cherrybust for production. I found an old (2013) forum post surrounding the mystery of this finish and no one really had any light to shed on it. In any event, I only have two artsy shots of the guitar, but can take actual product shots if people are interested

Is it an A/E or strictly an acoustic?

Depends on the trade I would say. I’m interested in Hollow body Gretsch at the moment. Cash is preferred though.

Well I happen to have a Gretsch Hollowbody. A 6122-1959 that I got thru Jimmy @ Southpaw.
Jimmy will verify this is the first lefty 6122-1959 ever shipped.
That is because I talked him into approaching them to see if they would make lefties. :)
It is the ONLY one with the Chet style Bigsby.

It is the one on the right.

I also have a Gibson that might interest you. It is a Chet Atkins CE (Classic Electric.) which is a chambered Mahogany hollowbody
nylon string guitar with 6 pickups (one per string) with internal individual adjustments. It is one of 3 on planet earth made lefty and
there will never be any more.

Did we just become best friends?
Both of those Gretsch are extremely interesting to me

That’s a big endorsement! Can we move to text or PM so we don’t blow everyone up? I am located in NC.

Had a great phone call with Mickey! I only heard the tip of the iceberg of his stories, but they are a really good listen! One heck of a nice guy!

Hey brentona. Just putting this out there. If the deal falls through I have a very nice bentley series 10 strat I can trade. Well not so nice. Kinda dirty and the frets are dinged. And the body too. It does have the rare highmass trem bridge. Plate and sustain block all cast together like an engine block. Yessiree bob! Oh, and its a righty too. But If you traded I'd cherish that martin like it was my own newborn. Well I'd cherish it until I flipped it because, well, I'm a righty. But I would cherish the month of the house payment I make with the money I would use from flipping that Martin.

If you were interested :)

I just wanted to say -
Mickey seems like an A+ fella! We had two great conversations and his guitar is en route! Should be in his hands on Wednesday, and mine will begin the journey Wednesday as well! Looking forward to it, @Mickey ! Thank you!

Thank you sir. I could say the same about you as well.
But don't say much nice about me here or you will ruin my reputation! :)

OK, now that you've got the Gretsch out of your system and your plain top is heading out of town, it's time to reconsider a CSB plain top AD-3200MCC when they get here in Nov/Dec... :)
