Even though it's now public, while I am able to log into the MOMO board, I am unable to join the AGF "board" or any of the former sub-forums that are now independent boards (and not all of them survived the migration) but can, by way of an incredibly convoluted process, bring up individual threads.

Are you suggesting that the Momo board itself is public? ( the old AGF content? ). When i browse to the .com site it takes me directly to the new momo platform, but the only active link I see is "Join". There is an icon for a public site, but it is not active in my browser. I've tried to purposefully not go there to avoid giving them clicks.

The AGF board on MOMO is now public which I guess means that you can theoretically add it to your list of boards. However, when i click on the "Join" icon for it, nothing happens, it had been locked prior to that but you could still see your own threads going back to March 2014 and others by searching for their user name and then clicking on the Posts tab when that came up....

Hmm...I have never been able to see anything other than the splash page. I never signed up with my AGF account or with a dummy account though - I was wondering if they had indeed made the content truly public but apparently not. Either way I don't really care, especially now that I have been deleted ( allegedly ).

The logical next step would be to buy a new guitar I guess

Me too... I'm not done with MOMO yet. I'm just letting them fall into a false sense of security.

Yup, I get that but right now I'm OK. However, I'm waiting to have a really bad day in the market and substitute the "kick the dog" reflexive response with a few emails to some of the publicly listed MOMO investors giving examples and asking if they know how their money is and has been wasted...

BTW, what's the email address that I have to send my deletion request to? I never paid attention to that when all hell was breaking loose.

I've been deleted as well. I signed up at the other place with a fake name and burner email to verify. While there is still a lot of content from before the takeover, it's pretty sad. That's despite the horrible format and mechanics of the site. Supposedly the moomoo guy has been working on this thing for years. I wonder if he ever asked anyone to see if it made sense to anyone other than himself?

I couldn’t find an exact reference to a Beavis and Butthead episode where they discuss the idea of a “cool channel”. Beavis suggests “what if all the other 99 channels were also cool”. , to which Butthead essentially replied

“how would you know anything is cool, if you didn’t have anything that sucked”

So true! This place is cool and because of that MOMO can suck it. It’s sad to see the site finally fade into history but now I can stop visiting the corpse

With the rules on mofo you dont need to ask to be deleted. They'll be deleting nearly all are content anyway
