My old coworker has a pbass he's been sporting up. He's been working on getting the tone right and wasn't satisfied. I offered to make a bone nut to see how it would get him what he's looking for.

Yes it has that distinctive smell. Now, I used to rough cut these with a hand saw. This time I experimented with using a dremel. So imagine that bone smell with the sound of a power tool! Dr Frankenstein (that's 'fronk-en-shteen' for the 70's crowd) is in the building...

How did you radius the bottom of the nut? Did you use the Dremel?
