Why not just do a test run then? Install a hanger using the self-tapping anchors, borrow a guitar from @golem and see what happens....

(FYI: I am hanging a pristine 2016 Gibson Firebird on it when I am certain it will hold.)

I've got a guitar you can test it on. Those Firebirds have gone up in value last I checked.
