Placed an order for my first Jackson! Yup after 36 years of guitar playing I finally decided to get a Jackson.

It’s a pro plus soloist, hopefully it plays as good as it looks.

That axe will be a deadly serious weapon in your very capable hands. I own a Jackson Soloist Pro and it is a very good guitar.

I'm assuming that the "Plus" has to do with the multi laminate construction of the neck through part of the guitar. It looks very similar to the construction of an Ibanez Wizard neck. My Soloist Pro lacks that darker center strip of wood, though it is still a super rigid platform.

Now that I look more closely I see that it has three ply binding as well. Nice!

Are there any other upgrades that the "Plus" signifies?

From what I understand, neck through, 3 piece neck, graphite truss, Duncan distortion, Duncan Strat pickups, floys rose 1000.

Only thing I found iffy was that it was “crafted in China”, but most reviews are really good so we’ll see.

Can't wait to hear what you record with this thing.

Happy New Guitar Day. I would have no use for one of those. I am more of a chopper vs a shredder. lol

Thanks!

Was looking up Okume and it seems to be a very light wood with similar qualities to mahogany. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the guitar. Guessing it will be here next week some time.

I played one of the okoume MIM Soloists a while back. JB in the bridge, Jazz or 59 in the neck. It sounded fantastic.

I think you'll like this. A lot.
