I check “remember me“ every time I login to the site, yet it never remembers me and I have to login every time I visit… Am I doing something incorrectly?

Basically, the system saves a cookie on your computer that your computer presents the next time you check in.
Your system may be clearing cookies ?
And you can also check your user control panel > profile > manange "remember me"

It’s happening to me as well, but not every time. Weird thing is I can login, look at unread posts, and then when I go to reply it asks me to login again. Sometimes, but not most of the time. It’s weird.

I can't attest to it, but methinks some of those might have been caused by Patrick working on the system (fixing known problems, resetting setver, etc.)
That should be pretty well over now.

That’s certainly possible. It still happened a few times today, but there is still work going on today so...

Nah... It only does it on this site.
It remembers my credentials for every other site I visit.
This is on my phone… I haven’t tried my CPU.

Figured it out finally. My saved bookmark did not have the https://
So i changed that, then went into firefox privacy security logins and passwords, deleted the saved passwords for the site. Then went to https bookmark, logged in again and it is saving it now.

I'm having the same issue, it just started today. I've confirmed my saved bookmark uses https, not http. I've deleted all cookies. I make sure I check the Remember Me checkbox, but the next time I visit I have to login again.

Same here. I had to go back & save it with the HTTPS & it started working ok.

So having to re-login every time continues, and it's getting really frustrating. This will be a deterrent to my more frequent visits.

Reading the posts above I think I figured out something. I don't use bookmarks, I use an RSS reader (and thans for enabling that).

What I figured out was, AGF threads employ a secure HTTPS connection. Not all of my RSS feeds have that, some employ a HTTP link. I don't know why.

I can say that the ones that use an https link it logs me in automatically on that forum. And then some forums that use an http link and they log me in automatically too. It seems to be based on what the board needs, and syncing that with the type of links in the RSS feed.

It would be great if this could be fixed.

thanks

On my lap top at home it remembers me but on my Surface I carry around with me it does not no matter what. PITA, I am sure it is a setting but other sites do not do it and settings are usually global.

I deleted my old bookmark and added this one and I have stayed logged in ever since.

I rarely if ever choose to stay logged in on forums. That said, mine seems to be on a timer. When I log in on first visit of the day, and then close the agf window in my browser, if I revisit AGF relatively soon, I am still logged in. If I don't have agf open in browser for a longer period of time I will have to log in again.

Or possibly it may just log me out when I close the browser completely. I haven't paid that close of attention because I don't mind logging back in and prefer NOT to be logged in on a permanent basis.

We have made a slight modification that should help. If not I’ll speak to the hosts.

Still not working for me. As others have said, I stay logged in on my windows desktop, but am required to log in every time on my Android phone.
