Thats a great version. I didnt know they covered that.
My first intro to that tune was Harvey Mandel off his first album. He came from a John Mayall background like so many greats.
Harvey was one of the guitarists that the Stones tried out after Mick Taylor left. The Stones used their Black and Blue album to try a few possible replacements. Harvey played the leads on that album's "Hot Stuff".

Yeah...Steve Marriot was a monster talent...died after getting drunk and smoking in bed, setting his house ablaze. Very sad
