So I don't really need anything and I think I have everything I could really use...which is always the precursor to a severe GAS attack, right?
In the last 24 hours or so, I've seen local sales listings for
- a very cheap Fender Hot Rod Deville which should need just a little work to be in 100% condition and would be an easy flip in that case. Of course that "should" is carrying a lot of weight there, but still... I absolutely don't need anything as large or heavy as that, but the Deville is a great amp.
- a very reasonably priced Marshall Lead 12 head - fun, inexpensive, and easy to flip, right? Of course I have no need for it either, but hey, semi-legendary little Marshall.
- a reasonably priced JCM 900 head, in cosmetically ugly but otherwise fine condition. Put that on the list with all the other things I absolutely do not need, right? But all my heroes have played Marshalls. Argh!
Argh! GAS attack!

Can’t go wrong with a perfectly functioning Marshall Lead 12. I’ve got a 1986 combo, but I frequently use it to push a 2x12 Orange cab loaded with a pair of Celestion Vintage 30s as my main “just screwing around in the studio” amp. Just the flick of a switch and I’ve got 100% authentic vintage Marshall tone.
Wait a minute . . . Am I supposed to be talking you out of buying this stuff?
Sorry.

Man, nothing is easy to flip in this area these days. I monitor CL and see the same old things. I hear the facebooky thing is where it's hot but I do not do the facebooky.
