A bit pricey esp for GC used at 599. This is one is kinda right by me in Birmingham.

Love it... it´s an AL3200. Can´t help but loving it. And that finish is rare to define, but it´s nice. I´d play it. I´m just $599,99 short LOL :)

Agiles do sell at higher prices than most think as i sold my agile 3100 purple quilt with hardcase and phat pat gfs pickups last year for 825 shipped with a hardcase , shipping cost me 55.00 so pretty good profit in the end . I put the i dont want to sell it price on it and it didnt last a week. so you can get more money than you think for your agiles. only sold it to get lighter weight guitars it was over 10lbs.

agiles are high priced but when i saw the used sx teles for 250 and 299 what the hell is guitar center really paying for these sx guitars 100 bux or less ? seems crazy high for a used sx lol maybe i need to do some guitar center trade ins.

John Way is apparently selling his Goldtop AS-1000 w/Bigsby. For those who weren't around back then, he did reviews for Agile several years ago that were featured on the product pages.

I believe this is from a run of only four, @mickey has one of them, and I saw another for sale about five years ago in the Portland area.

Judging from the listing pictures, this was probably a b-stock with a finish crack between the bridge and tailpiece:

That looked tempting, but I already have more semi-hollows than I need. However, I couldn't resist grabbing up this one last night from Jon (I didn't know SX made these). Totally an impulse buy.

Edit: ...and it looks like someone already snapped up that AS-1000.

Congrats! The KY1/ISIS/SIS (the name was changed over time) is my favorite SX design!

It's really a great little guitar. I have that exact model, I put a set of Gretsch Broadtrons in it...

I wonder why he's selling now, or maybe he does periodically and I just never saw the listings. Regardless, I should be doing the same, these guitars have come to own me and not the other way around...

Jon's listing said he also changed out the pickups. I'll follow up whether I like them or not, but the model itself just looks fun to play. I do wish it was a trem version, but hardtails are their own fun too.

Something tells me if you started selling off, it would sound kinda like "Release the Kraken", and I'd be in trouble.

Yep, Rondo only ever got 4 of thoe lefty AS-1000's & all 4 were gone within a few hours. They were the only ones sold with thing like an American made Bigsby, roller bridge, etc. (there were never any righty's sold be Rondo with specs like that! three of us here snapped up three and we never did find out what happened to #4. Perhaps now we do?

It's been huge fun getting to this point and I don't regret a minute of it. However, it's now kind of ridiculous owning this many. Neuropathy in my right fretting hand limits me to open chords and power chords from the seventh fret up (very little strength and limited mobility). If I sold one a week for the next five years, I'd still have a few left to play...

That sucks. But I know we're all on our own paths to not being able to play like a 20 year old. I've had little battles with arthritis that have changed my playing, but not that bad yet. Maybe just sell them in order of how well they play - harder go away first?

Man, the John Way videos really bring back some memories of the old AGF and my return to the guitar world. He’s like the Bob Ross of guitar demos. I saw that AS1000 listed on my Reverb feed and my immediate thought was to post it here, but I just got over Covid (2nd time around) and my mind is still a little fuzzy. Really glad to see someone here ended up with it @BatUtilityBelt !

@tobijohn you really did bring a whole new level of GAS to the table, probably still the gold standard :-). I have a feeling if you need to do some unGassing that there will be many here that can help.

We had a great gig last night. This is a band that I have been friends with for a few years, occasionally sitting in on lead guitar during their weekly rehearsal/hang sessions.

They asked me to join on bass when the previous bassist moved. I never really played bass before, but it’s been fun! And I play guitar on some songs.

I used two of my favorite @Buddha Pickups loaded riff sticks: Agile AL-3100 MCC and Squier P Bass.

The agile content starts at 14:30.

Full show here:
(Well, almost full…my phone glitched after a few songs in the second set)

Washburn Acoustic/electric steel string guitar 1 3/4in neck
Fender MIM stratocaster with a 1 7/8in neck
Schecter C-1 Bolt on neck, too narrower a neck rarely played

There's a pretty sweet 2015 Agile 3200se In a deep Red stain finish on Reverb right now.

The seller says he busted his hand and is switching to being a lefty. Ouch.

If you are the seller and you're on this board give a shout out.

AL-3200s are neckthroughs, further down in the description, it says it's a 3001, which means stainless steel frets, but I think that's also incorrect.

Based on the style of the serial number, I suspect it's an Al-3010SE. I have that same guitar (although lefty) with the same Tribal Red finish and a serial number five before that one and mine is definitely an AL-3010SE.

Here's the product listing for what it most likely is, and originally priced at $340:

Yes, definitely not a 3200. I think you´re right about what it actually is.

Looks good, and it´s still a nice model if anybody wants one like that.
