Went with the 8 string on this one and used my 6 string bass.
I created new patches and a new bass patch which definitely works better.
Anywho - I'm still tweaking away so any feedback at all is quite welcome.
Thanks!!!

New patches sound good! Bass is a lot cleaner, not sure how much is the 6 string bass, or the patch, but sounded good. Mix is better, but still seems like its missing some dynamic range from the old setup. Wish I could be more helpful than that, as its kinda vague That said, its improving every time you tweak it, so I'd say you're on the right path to dialing it in the way you want.

Hmm I A/B’d them and the old mix sounds complete Dead compared to this one. Wonder if it’s SoundCloud and the compression they use.bleys21 wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 1:37 pm New patches sound good! That's entirely possible; I didn't think of that. If they're really compressing it, that would cause a loss of range and a feeling of not as much dynamic range.
Soundcloud hasn't done anything to their format lately have they? I listen to stuff you did last year and earlier this year, and I don't hear the issue I'm hearing on the latest ones, which is what made me think its the new rig. But if they changed their compression algorithms recently, that could do it as well.
Color me confused

I just posted the A/B - its nuts how different they sound back to back. Much more tweaking on the way though.bleys21 wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 10:51 pm That's entirely possible; I didn't think of that.
