Well, I have less than 6 weeks left to blast off this God-forsaken planet, and it is with a sad heart that I'm going to need to sell a bunch of gear. I can't take it all with me, and I really need the money more than I need a bunch of guitars and basses (and other miscellaneous items). Whatever I can't sell (or otherwise find a good home for) will probably get left behind. Some of this stuff is listed on Craigslist, but I'm going to offer it here at a special, "AGF price". I don't have time to post everything in one go, so keep an eye on this thread for new items!

First on the chopping block (and probably the most painful sacrifice) is my exquisite Ibanez AS93FM. It's in practically brand new condition and comes with an Ibanez hard case. I swapped out the Super 58s for Epiphone Pro-buckers, but I will include the original pickups if you want to swap them back.

SOLD

Here's another tough one for me... This will be the third Casino that I've had to let go of in my life, but I just don't have room for it in the van, and I don't think a hollow-body guitar will fare well on the road. This too comes with a hard-shell case, as well as a great sounding pair of P90s, rewound by our own Tim "Buddha" Engel. It's in great condition, but there is one caveat... It's got a ground issue (loud buzz), and I just don't have the time or the wherewithal to sort it out. I figured this would be a tough sell on Craigslist, but most folks here are pretty adept at guitar wiring,

I almost forgot. There is a minor ding on the edge of the headstock, but that's the extent of any "damage":

Silver Creek arched-top Dreadnought Case. Barely used. I sold my Dreadnought, should have sold this case with it. It's a really nice case for $130... Even better for $60 + shipping.

Without a doubt, the best $160 bass I ever played. It's a bit on the heavy side, but it sounds and plays great! I was going to make a project out of this and do a dye finish on it and mod it up, but I definitely wouldn't have changed the pickups!

It has come to my attention that some of you took my earlier reference to "blasting off this God-forsaken planet" to imply that I'm dying. I assure you I am not. I often refer to California as an alien world, and my van as a space ship. My comment was purely metaphorical. I apologize if I have caused any undue concern.

And I don't blame you for leaving CA, who can afford it anymore?

Heheh... Yeah. I don't know if you've seen my other thread (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3878), but I've been living in a van for the last year.

Thank you for clarifying because I was one who was unsure what you meant. Some very nice gear you have for sale although i'm also in the reverse-GAS phase of my life too.

Well I guess I'm not the only one who lives in a true mobile home. Hope you got a full sized cause mines a mini caravan. I had to leave all my gear with my bass player. I used to have a guitar and small usb amp to play on but that left me with little room for me. Hope you find good places to park at night.

Believe me, if I were in a situation like that, I wouldn't be coy about it. I appreciate your concern, though. :)

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that... I'm shacked up in an old (2001) Chevy Express cargo van. If I had my druthers, I would have bought a Sprinter van, but even an older, used one would cost about $30-40K. I thought I could get a beat-up old cargo van for about three thousand dollars all day long, but most of the ones I saw were going for between $10-20K. I happened to find this one on CL for an asking price of $6,000, but I haggled them down to $4,750.

I do have a safe place to park. I've been staying in the parking lot at my workplace, which is fenced in. It's kind of a drag living where you work, and it messed with my head a little at first. When I used to get off work, I always looked forward to going home, but when "home" is in the parking lot, it makes you feel kind of adrift with nowhere to go. It took a couple of weeks for me to get over that. Psychologically speaking, it's not good to live where you work... It makes you feel like a prisoner after a while. But I've had very little concern for my safety. I hope you're safe... Are you parking on the streets?

I got a lot of immediate responses for this from Craigslist, but unfortunately, they've all been flakes. My initial inspiration for this build was to create a Geddy Lee Jazz Bass killer. I call it the "War Hammer". The neck is from a Squier CV '70s Jazz Bass, the body is made of Ash from an SX Ursa 2 HUM. It has a Leo Quan Badass II bridge, Wilkinson tuners, and GFS Musicman style humbuckers. I was going to install a preamp, but considering how aggressive they sound already, I thought adding a pre would be over-kill. It's in used condition. There are surface scratches and swirl marks (though nothing that goes through the finish) and signs of normal wear.

I bought this on impulse a few years ago, and then bought a Zoom G5n shortly thereafter, so this has barely gotten any use.
