Way cool Doc! I enjoyed that slide show and the tune. Quite the son you have there.

Thank you! He is the light of my life and growing into a really great young man. My son has autism and ADHD, and the public school system completely gave up on him at the age of 5. I went through the exact same situation when I was his age. I was labeled as mentally retarded and put into special ed and taught absolutely nothing until the age of 10, when my mother insisted the school test me and found that I was reading on a college level. It wasn't until a decade later that they diagnosed me with autism. I finished high school early with a full scholarship to college and am a dual degree doctor. My son was kicked out of every single daycare and ignored in public schools because they though he wasn't learning a thing since he never made eye contact or looked at the blackboard. He just scored in the top 5% on the SAT at the age of 16, he's a licensed EMT and a member of the ambulance corps saving lives on nights and weekends, and he's one of the top judokas and wrestlers in the country, but he took a year off of sports this year after 4 surgeries from injuries. He benches 350 and is someone John Wick wouldn't want to fight, but would never hurt a fly and always sticks up for anyone he sees getting bullied. I only put a 5 second scene of his wrestling, but you could see the other kid didn't even know what hit him, and my son didn't gloat when he won, but instead consoled the other kid and wished him well. He's decided he wants to become a doctor and dedicate his life to helping people. He's a truly good person and I'm proud as hell to be his father.

Dang Doc what a great tune and beautiful sentiment! Honestly brought a tear to my eye knowing how quickly time flies. Every second we have with our loved ones is precious. THanks for that.

Congratulations, Doc.
And Happy Birthday to your son.
And Happy Birthday to your son.

Great song and video. I can hear how proud you are. Congrats.
My son was considered special needs too. He was in the no child left behind thing his whole elementary school time. Then by hs he was in ap courses. Never made it to college as he is in so demand in IT by 20 he doesn't have time.
Letting the school system decide who is smart or will be sucessful would be like letting monkeys figure out who the next einstein will be.

Then you know exactly what kind of idiots we have had to fight for the last 12 years. I'm so glad to hear that your son is so successful! You have no idea how happy that makes me.nomadh wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 12:55 am Great song and video. I can hear how proud you are. Congrats.
