He clearly had a lot of extra time and energy. Insane, I agree. If I was going to make an aluminum guitar (and I'm not) it would definitely be hollow, not cast. His looks cool, but a 12 lb guitar is not on my wish list. I've been known to bitch at my 10 lb Lesters.
