Harley Benton suggestion
Buy 1 shipping is like $68, buy 2 and shipping is like $66...explain that logic???
I like my CST24t, don't have an option for the hard tail as a lefty.
I changed out my tuners because one was still a little damaged (why it was over 50% off).
If you need another option to throw in, they have so many cool ones, but the bang for the buck king is the TE-52. It is <$125 and it is every bit as good if not better than my CV50s (also made in Indonesia FYI).

10 years, 2 months, and 8 days of blissful ignorance ruined by that snake in the grass Major Tom.

Years back I wanted to try a PRS style guitar without going PRS, and I bought a HB CST24. I know others have had good experiences, but mine was not. Mine came with a neck twist (it happens sometimes with budget guitars). Thomann made the return experience by far the worst I've ever had - so bad that I vowed to never do business with them again. A couple years later I found a great PRS SE used, but perfect and am very happy with it. Plays great, sounds great, looks great. It also showed me the CST24 looks PRS-like in pictures, but that's all I could say for it. In person the CST24 didn't look nearly as good as the SE.

Yeah, the strong dollar makes the already enticing Harley Bentons even MORE enticing!
The Big Tone is 329 euros, but only $269.

But my finances are f-cked right now. I'm down an obscene amount on my stocks in 2022, so even an inexpensive HB is out of the question.

The firefly looks good and the one I bought was ok after I changed out the buzzing bridge......................its tempting. I'm gonna look for a craiglist around here first and see if i can find a used PRSse failing that I may be tempted. With Firefly I would most likely be installing all new hardware I suspicion.

Might make more sense to get an IYV from Amazon as the return will be easier if you don't like it.MichaelR wrote: ↑Tue Sep 27, 2022 11:36 pm The firefly looks good and the one I bought was ok after I changed out the buzzing bridge......................its tempting. I'm not a big fan of bling on guitars, so I'd probably go for this one myself:

Ok I just heard about the Harmony Comet which of course is nothing like the PRS line but its 100% american made in Kalamazo although not in the old Gibson factory like Heritage and half the price of a Heritage. I'm not a fan of the Fender 12 3/4 scale as opposed to the 24 3/4 scale of the Gibson so this guitar's 25 scale is sorta in the middle. Nitro finish is a plus and gold foil pups, I may have to save a little more and get one. I know Harmony was a beginners guitar back in the day but it looks like they are now producing a much better guitar.

Yeah, I'm curious about the Harmony reboot too. I doubt there's really any relationship to the original company, but they might pay nice tribute to the eras of those guitars. Unfortunately, I'm out because they (so far) appear to hate lefties, which I find weird in this age of CNC. It's easy to mirror a 3D model.

There's a Harmony dealer about 5 minutes from me, so I may go check out that Harmony Comet.
Not that I would ever spend $1500 on an electric guitar, but I'm just curious what it's like.
