Share 'em if you got 'em. Here's mine:
- There's a Free Summer Concert Series show tomorrow night featuring a band from the South East called Big Something. I checked out a few vids. They sound interesting.
- Maybe volunteer at a local sporting event (if they ever get around to checking their volunteer sign-up and call me).
- Practice some triads.
- Start to puppy-proof the house.
- Watch some baseball.
Weekend plans?
My son's 16th birthday was yesterday. We've rented a shelter at the local park and going to have a surprise birthday party for him. Looking like 50ish or so people have RSVP'ed that they are coming. We got 500+ water balloons, some stuff for kickball, wiffle ball, basketball, etc... Should be a good time.
Otherwise, the plans are the same as every weekend. Clean the house and do some grocery shopping. Probably squeeze in some guitar practice and some Xbox play time.

If I remember correctly, they crown a Possum King & Queen & the prize for coming in second is greater than for winning!

Weekend plan?
Stay alive in the Boston heat!
It feels like New Orleans, without any of the benefits... no Frenchman St, no street cars, no second line, no St. Augustine church, no neutral ground, no beignets!

The other farm cats didn’t super love him but the chickens thought he was alright so he became a chicken.

Recovery for me. My son raced up in Georgia at The Wicked Weekend last weekend. 11 hour drive. and 4 days of racing with an 11 hour drive back. We need to rebuild everything and get it ready for the next big race.
Here is an overview video someone made. It was quite the event. Close to 600 entries.

@mickey I have no idea what to say about that except that is IMO one of the craziest festivals I've ever heard of. A bonifide festival to celebrate the opossum I just can't wrap my head around that.mickey wrote: ↑Fri Aug 05, 2022 12:52 pm Mr. Murphy & I will be staying home because this this weekend is the 53rd Annual International Possum Festival in Wausau, Floriduh.

Well, the story goes it was started 50+ years ago as a way of attracting people (money) into Wausau, one of the poorest towns in Floriduh.redman wrote: ↑Sat Aug 06, 2022 12:19 pm@mickey I have no idea what to say about that except that is IMO one of the craziest festivals I've ever heard of. Thanks Tommy. Not sure if you are on Facebook or not, but his page is https://www.facebook.com/MillerFroydRC if you want to check it out. His hobby has pretty much replaced my guitar playing/buying hobby. Being his mechanic takes up quite a bit of free time, but it sure is easier sneaking rc car parts into the house than it was sneaking new guitars into the house! Just as expensive though.

The usual: try to get more little things done around the house / property, spend time with the wife and dogs, try to nap a bit as I am always fatigued.
Try to squeeze in some items from the list of guitar / amp things that need doing, and some guitar playing time.
Finally got the Indio Tele fret dress done. $90 guitar took far less strokes with the leveling beam than the other, idk, 10 or so I have done.
Wasnt BAD, but now it is even better.
Since I had the garage bench set up for it, I did the Firefly FFJA too. That one needed it. Nothing atrocious, but - yeah.

Old AGF since Feb. 2015; refugee of the Great MOMO Purge of May 2020.
NJ fair, 11am not too many people there yet. Was getting packed later. Prices have gone up of course. No more sandwiches for $ 8-10. Now $ 10,12,15. One place was selling pizza, a whole tray was $40. Locally we pay 15, 16.

I spent the weekend trying and failing to clean the garage.
Instead I spent way too much time working on my daughter's guitar Saturday.
Last week I noticed one of my employees needed a new tool box because someone took some of his tools so I gave him mine from my garage. I needed a replacement for the garage, found one on Craigslist for a nice price. I paid for 2/3 of it by selling my Peavey Basic 112 bass amp I no longer needed after getting ny Fender Sidekick 65 bass 1x15 and got rid of a glider/rocking chair and ottoman we bought but never used because our micro preemie daughter had nasty reflux so we never wanted to feed her in her carpeted room.
I noticed my Harley exhaust was pretty grody, so I got distracted by that for about 30 minutes.
Then we washed the dog...she did surprisingly well in the front yard vs. when we tried to take her to a dog wash.
Good fun weekend despite my failings as a garage organizer.
My girls played in the yard most all day Sunday, barbie dolls plus the form fit foam shipping inserts from my Harley exhaust turned into a water park.
