I had butterbeans for breakfast
they were the last can on the shelf
I know they were for supper
but I just couldn't help myself
I had butterbeans for breakfast
and they restored my mental health
Butterbeans and chitlin's, butterbeans and dirty rice
butterbeans and cornbread, so good some days I eat it twice
butterbeans and hamhocks, baby butterbeans and peas
butterbeans and onions, you know I eat them when I pleeeeeeeease.....
When I go out to the night clubs
I don't look for nuthin' lean
them skinny girls are alright
but not eatin' makes 'em mean
so you do what you want to
I'm takin' home a Butterbean......
Butterbeans in hot pants, Butterbeans in halter tops......
And when they take the dance floor, you know the whole buildin' rocks
Butterbeans in short skirts, Butterbeans lookin' fine
Butterbean Bikinis, they make me sweat come summertiiiiiiiime.........
When I wake up in the mornin'
with my sexy Butterbean
I'm havin' Butterbeans for breakfast
I think you know just what I mean
and you can keep them skinny girls
for me it's always Butterbeans.

uptempo Jimmy Vaughan/Earl King type riff
True story, that song started off about waking up depressed and couldn't find anything in the house to eat until I finally saw a can of butterbeans way back on an otherwise empty shelf. I was so down and so hungry I said what the heck, grabbed the can opener and a pot, dumped 'em in and cut up the only other food I had, a small onion, dumped it in with the butterbeans, added black pepper, heated it up and ate it. And I felt much better in a very short time.
Then the song kinda took on a life of it's own and went in a whole 'nother direction. I had a lot of fun writing that one.

I have noticed while lurking the old AGF that folks who used to be on every day, never posted, but always "engaged in conversation."
Are still coming on every day, not posting, but always "engaged in conversation."
Strange.

I recall you mentioned that you wondered if those "members" might be part of some terrorist group.
Despite having put together a board on a cookie cutter site I really don't know much about how web boards function. How are they engaged in conversation on old agf? Especially if PMs are shut down? The number of members there was pretty huge, with only a small fraction of that number posting with any regularity at all.
You can send new PM’s to someone if you have an existing conversation. What you cannot do is start a new conversation. Probably not an issue for the criminal elements using it for semi-hidden communication.fullonshred wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 11:36 amI recall you mentioned that you wondered if those "members" might be part of some terrorist group.

Great news: no one posted anything on moboboard's agf in the past 5 days... Look like the most active users moved here.

Hey boys, Manodano is present and accounted for. I spent the last six days downloading all of my posts from the old site. It took a lot of hours. I plan to organize a "book" for posterity. We'll see, it totalled 297 pages of material. I really did not want to lose my work, I crafted a lot of those posts as carefully as I could, since I always believed that they would exist in the cloud in perpetuity. I guess now I doubt that is the case. In the course of things, I re-lived a lot of your good posts and exchanges, re-mourned the loss of a lot of your pets and loved ones, and gathered many forgotten tips and tricks.
I've been real busy at work and at home lately, and I especially want to thank Mickey for the phone call giving me the heads up last week. I might have not realized what was going on for a while otherwise.

I'm bitter about the unnecessary loss of the original AGF. I appreciate the man or men that are making this site work. The warm vibe and high level of discourse is what make this community different from those other dog-butt sites out there.

I think I joined the Forum in 2007. It blows my mind really. It's great seeing a core of people here now who contributed to the decorum and community organization around on-topic discussion.I'm getting used to the structure and the look. Change is change...

Hi guys. Re. Hbowner. I'm pretty sure I know who he is based on a few rare postings in the Harley Benton facebook group.
One of his last postings in the old forum was this image (as Vesa)

I believe that's the same room as this
which is a picture on the facebook page of the man in question.

Awesome. I seem to remember that it was you who gave some really great point for point advice on how to approach a roadside “amp” find. I hope that’s in your archive. If i recall correctly it was in one of the yearly garage sale find threads that @mozz started. Glad to have you aboard!manodano wrote:Hey boys, Manodano is present and accounted for. I just got banned for mentioning the AGF frequent uses migrated to a new site after the sale to Momo!
I didn’t even say or hint at what site we were on.
Those Momo dweebs are as pathetic as their webpage layout.

Was talking to a buddy about my old Charvette and GTX, but I think the pics of those might have even been on the original AGF of myth.

Here is a link to your old Charvette Thread. I just went to Google, typed in "aguitarforum.com charvette", pressed Go and yours was the third or fourth thread Google listed in results.LancerTheGreat wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 12:34 am Kinda wish I had ripped all of my old content before I went off the rails

If you remember thread names or specific guitars or similar info, Google Search for aguitarforum.com and the info most specific to your threads. You might be surprised what comes up. You can view threads without being logged in, and use Chrome Browser or Brave Browser which is based on Chrome), scroll down to Print in the Settings, click it, when the Print Box pops up Select Save As PDF and download it page by page to your desktop.
IF you do use Brave Browser go slowly on install, and I HIGHLY recommend NOT using Brave Rewards which gives Brave the right to track you and send info to companies. If you DON'T enable Brave and go through the Settings, including Advanced Settings and untick the proper boxes it is a Solid Browser that limits tracking and other typical Browser info harvesting. It works just as good as Chrome for the PDF download through the Print feature.
