I just about 💩 when I saw the outer box…

But the inner box was intact and the contents in perfect condition. Holy…

This guitar is great!! I bought it to replace an LP that I haven’t bonded with (which is for sale…lol).

I bonded with this INSTANTLY. The only gripes I could render are: binding doesn’t align perfectly to the body sides (the body is like a hair proud of the binding all the way around); and there was intense EMI/RFI noise when plugged in (a hazard with any unshielded electric guitar in my house). I can live with the binding issue. The hum was bucked with some copper shielding tape in the control cavities.

Pretty sure this one is a lifetime keeper!!

That outer packaging is scary! Looks like it got run over by something. Glad that lovely guitar is still in perfect shape!

Is that a new guitar or a used one? Just wondering with the outer box issue...

It’s new. I guess that’s the point of the outer box, right?

Nice lookin' LP! Gibson QC has been crazier than ever in recent times...I've seen multiple $5K+ Gibsons posted on TGP with some truly mind boggling issues recently.

No offense meant here but personally if I paid something like $2500 for a new guitar and it arrived with the binding misaligned around the entire body it would be on its way back already...but I know once you play it and find you really love it tonally and playability wise those types of issues can sometimes take a backseat.

Yeah, I understand that perspective on QC. Honestly, the binding issue is minor and something that would never keep me from enjoying the playing experience.

Totally understand now, and can actually say I understand how great it feels, and happy New Gibson Day!
That top and the subtle finish both just really smack you right in eyes and say "don't you dare look away from me".

That looks very nice.

Tail piece is kind of low, make sure the strings aren't hitting the bridge.
