I recorded this with my gold top Firefly 338.

That guitar is a freaking fluke! Sounds and plays so darn good!

Anywho, hope you like this one - lots of different themes in here:

nice Narsh. Thanks.

Sweet. I can only hope to get that tone out of my 335 clone someday.

Nice! Love the guitar tone! Bits of it remind me of Fates Warning, which I know you've heard before. The guitar tone reminded me of Alex Lifeson's 335 tone on early Rush material, which is high praise in my book :-)

I thought the same thing as I was playing through. Granted, I think I’m using a lot more gain than Alex and it’s quad tracked but yeah…

Man Tommy I just realized you live in steamboat springs. I was out there last Nov right before ski season started. Beautiful place.

Good thing that you didn't sat. We didn't have much of a ski season this year. :(

It snowed a foot last night though.

Hey - do you prefer the bridge or neck pick-up on that guitar? Each have their uses but I'm interested in your thoughts.

Oh we did. We were there right at the beginning and weren’t able to ski at all. Ended up heading to Veil for a few days which was better but no skiing. The altitude killed me though, it was really rough.

Anywho, on the gold one, both pickups are amazing. They have their place for different things. The black one I had Tim wind me some Buddha’s which basically hot rodded the guitar. Sounds mean now.

Still think I got really lucky with the gold one.
