Is it a dry heat or is it humid? From experience there's a big difference between 101 degrees in Phoenix and the same temp in Miami.

It varies day to day. When the dewpoint temp is above 65F it's usually bad , the bad days are usually around low 90s with dewpoint at 75+..toomanycats wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 9:56 am Is it a dry heat or is it humid? If anything Thailand is as bad compared to Miami as Miami is to Phoenix!toomanycats wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 9:56 am Is it a dry heat or is it humid? From experience there's a big difference between 101 degrees in in Phoenix and the same temp in Miami.
But then a cold front comes thru and drops the morning low to around 65 & out come all the arctic parkas cause the local's teeth are chattering.

I was down near JAX in February and it got down into the high 50's in the evenings a couple of nights. They had those gas heaters blazing on the patios and people were literally walking around in puffer jackets. Us northerners were of course hanging out in flip flops and short sleeves/shorts wondering what all the fuss was about

I thought maybe, "Raining cute women, 24/7".

Exactly...in 'winter' season here (December thru February) the stores all have displays of winter parkas, ski hats and gloves...it's hilarious. It still gets hot daytime but nights can dip into the high 50s in the north and around 60-65 Bangkok area. The defining characteristic of hot season here is the incessant nature of the heat and also the fact that some nights the only cooling effect is the lack of sun...on a humid 100 degree day with sun, it might still be 85-90 at 3 AM as all the structures and ground re-radiate the heat right back into the air. I still wouldn't trade it for winter in NJ....done with that !mickey wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 1:26 pmIf anything Thailand is as bad compared to Miami as Miami is to Phoenix!toomanycats wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 9:56 am Is it a dry heat or is it humid?
