Got word my niece's #2 son woke up dead Monday morning. At least when his wife woke up he was there in the bed dead.
He was somewhere in his 30's and was a bodybuilder, so I guess he died of being too healthy?

I just won an Eagles Nashville Getaway contest on our local radio station! Two tickets, hotel and a gas card. Can’t wait!

Note to self: do not take blood pressure medication (diuretic) late in the day, and, unfortunately, alcohol is a factor as well.

Plus whatever kept the big C at bay in that part of the body since 2003!

EDIT: I just learned that there are other BP meds working differently... need to follow up.

Well that just sucks. My wife' family lives in Europe and her Mom passed away at 80 years old last week.

Given travel these days we weren't able to get there. This was the first time we ever "attended" a Funeral on "WhatsApp".

Crazy.

Many times, problems go undetected for years. Googling "body building and health, the second link reads '.. affects your heart.." Sh*t.

Wife's cousins' daughter got COVID, and in the process, docs discovered she has a heart malformation requiring surgery. She is like 22.
The other farm cats didn’t super love him but the chickens thought he was alright so he became a chicken.

I knew that (seemingly) a lot of bodybuilders die young but I always assumed they took things (steroids?) which can cause heart problems.

RiverDog wrote: Thu Apr 21, 2022 9:32 am I finally got word that a promised work promotion is official. Woohoo! All I had to do was post for a position in a different department and my boss woke up and was like "we'll throw a better position and more money at you if you'll stay!" She didn't say any of that but she may as well have.
Congrats on the promotion! Now is the time for people to "get yours" more than ever in recent memory.

On another note, I see you are actually just down the road a piece from our Florida plant ( Fernandina Beach ). I started a new job in January and we have a production location there. I was down there in February but all the other AGF florida folks seem to be from much farther south or west coast. You'll have to fill me in on good guitar hunting spots next time I come down ;-)
Thanks my friend!

I saw you posted about that a while back. Congrats on the new gig! Other than the plentiful pawn shops, 2 GCs and 1 Sam Ash, I don't really have any special guitar spots. Actually, one I just thought of is https://chipsmusic.com/ which is right near my work here on the south side of Jax. Oh, and there's a George's Music up in Jax Beach which I haven't visited in years.

I had a cardiac stress test today.

They had to shave some of my chest hair.

I look like a man-o-lantern.

This morn it feels better but a lot of gunk flush and I can tell it's still there. Supposed to go to wild animal park w family today after a ton of planning. But I can feel if I start using it again it'll start irritating again I think. May try to stop at kaiser nurse station and see what they see.
And today it feels fine so I helped my mom rip out some bamboo and a bunch of plants for her birthday.
