I gave away a 7 cans (of an 8-pack) pineapple-coconut Bubble because it was way too sweet (I tapped out after half of the first can).

Big day.

I had surgery on my ankle this morning to fix a few issues with the peroneal tendons. Have a few months of down time now.

Our Keurig died so I bought a “pour over” coffee maker and made some great fresh ground coffee. I’m sold. I used an old fashioned whistling teapot to boil the water too.

My brother-in-law is moving, and gave me his gun safe, and 3 shotguns he inherited from his dad that he didn't want anymore. Got some research to do on them, then give them a good cleaning :-)

I came across a superb canvas on a stretcher oil painting reproduction of Van Gogh's "Hospital in Arles" and paid $10 for it. That's where Vincent was admitted after he cut off his own ear and he painted this scene from the window of his hospital room.

I found out that I can spoon feed my cat with mouth cancer to good effect. This may help him get a few more good weeks before the inevitable end of time, or dilation to eternity.

Well you woke up this morning Mickey so there's that which means the rest is all Upside. :)

Having just turned 69 I've been recalling Mick Jagger' famous quip when a reporter asked him..."What's it like still playing Rock N' Roll at your age?"

To which Mick replied, in the finest of The Queen' English,..."I'm NOT getting older. I'm getting much gooder.".

I've bought at least a dozen or more. Only have 4 remaining though. What's your take on them?

The kids are at home because my daughter decided it was "CHUNKS AHOY" yesterday, and we have to keep the kids home for 48 hours if they vomit.

In the midst of it all, I wrote a speech today. Turned it in thinking it sucked, only to get a "damn, you knocked it out of the park!" so that was good.

I finally got word that a promised work promotion is official. Woohoo! All I had to do was post for a position in a different department and my boss woke up and was like "we'll throw a better position and more money at you if you'll stay!" She didn't say any of that but she may as well have.

Yesterday got a bit of something in my eye and spent last night trying to flush it and that irritated it alot. This morn it feels better but a lot of gunk flush and I can tell it's still there. Supposed to go to wild animal park w family today after a ton of planning. But I can feel if I start using it again it'll start irritating again I think. May try to stop at kaiser nurse station and see what they see.

Congrats on the promotion! Now is the time for people to "get yours" more than ever in recent memory.

On another note, I see you are actually just down the road a piece from our Florida plant ( Fernandina Beach ). I started a new job in January and we have a production location there. I was down there in February but all the other AGF florida folks seem to be from much farther south or west coast. You'll have to fill me in on good guitar hunting spots next time I come down ;-)

Congrats, glad they are finally taking care of you. I'm in a similar boat, and with a little luck, I should be getting a sizable pay bump in July to match what every other IT Director in my area has had for years. And yes, it did take me applying for some other opportunities to get their attention :-)

Wet my pyjamas last night! A very vivid dream seem to have triggered that, as has happened before. Here I am, having a great time dreaming, and then that wet feeling...!

Note to self: do not take blood pressure medication (diuretic) late in the day, and, unfortunately, alcohol is a factor as well.

Plus whatever kept the big C at bay in that part of the body since 2003!

EDIT: I just learned that there are other BP meds working differently... need to follow up.
