Gary Moore and EVH.
But who is the guy on the right facing them?

Possibly. The time frame is about right. That looks like Ed circa 1980. If I recall correctly Thin Lizzy was on tour around that time and Gary Moore quit the band. Right after that he was hanging out in L.A. and there was talk of him joining Ozzy's new solo venture, which obviously didn't pan out.PsychoCid wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 7:55 pmLynott???toomanycats wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 7:34 pm Gary Moore and EVH.

Apparently Moore was apprehensive of working with another bandleader who liked the drink and drugs. Ozzy even told him "oh, I'll drive you crazy."toomanycats wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 8:15 pmPossibly. I guess that's how it goes.
At any rate, I do not think Gary Moore was a good fit for Ozzy. Absolutely stunning player, just not the right guy.

How do you feel about George Lynch in Ozzy?Rollin Hand wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 10:15 pmApparently Moore was apprehensive of working with another bandleader who liked the drink and drugs. Apparently he had the gig briefly and was unceremoniously dismissed and replaced by Jake E Lee.
I read Lynch worked for a liquor store running deliveries, and his boss made him keep his hair short, which Ozzy didn't like.

I had heard they were talking and Tommy Aldridge said "Look, I don't think the is the guy. I think he can only sound like himself." And they booted him without even paying him.
And George....well he's always sounded like George.
