RIP to my favourite DJ. The phone cops finally got him.

That's why the only US TV that I watch anymore is my local news & weather.
Incidentally, this is my local TV Meteorologist:

I was thinking about that this morning while walking 'ol Izzy. Considering streaming TV, it may be as good as ever. The golden ages, even.

Nah, no disrespect. Howard isn't dead either. He, along with Betty White, Meatloaf, Bob Saget etc are doing just fine. They fake it all of the time. It's in protest and a reminder that we have real live cannibals among us. John Petrucci, Jim Carey, Tommy Thayer, White Zombie etc. Their time is almost up. We have been conditioned to go along with it. they are right under our nose. The coming months, weeks, days will be their last on this planet. I just lost the three most evil people on the planet and universe. My so called family. Mom, dad and littlest sister. Freakin' evil satanist pieces of crap. They were leaches to the system. Cannibals. Otherwise, good morning! Having a cup of not so strong coffee and a cigarette wondering what the day will bring....

For a while as a kid, I wanted to be a DJ just because of that guy. The show, and Howard particularly, held an interesting lense to those times.

Now that's what I call a warm front.

Slow, slow.

The truth will come out in it's own time. :)

Anytime I think of WKRP I go back to this vid I found years ago. 640x480 but still sounds good.

8-) I recall that something is missing from the WKRP Theme video. In the background where those shelves are...uh well, she gave us permission to use the footage. Does someone have the original vid???

What, that we can see the old shows again now?
No. That we can see shows like Operation Odessa and some of the finest docu-series and new content that fills the gap between TV and Movies.

Hint, "she" is the great Loni Andersson. She is in place of those white shelves in the back. Those shelves have been fiedmonted. Loni Anderson with her legs open...no undergarment! Does that jog anyone's memory?? :D

More than twice my age but she was a babe in her time

She was also mentioned in an early episode of Seinfeld, when Jerry's dad was still a blonde guy instead of the permanent actor that came later

I was a big fan of wkrp but now I think we are at peak TV. There are too many good shows to watch and there may not be enough audience to split up and watch to support it. I watch some retro TV and I'm shocked at how much of my old faves don't hold up to modern. I couldn't get back into wkrp or even old fav bob Newhart.
Newer shows like arrested development and breaking bad just kill the old stuff. What lies in the shadows is a scream. Just so much good stuff. Sometimes it's buried amongst "hide my voice", "this old tree house" and "useless wives of ex NBA stars" but some great stuff out there
It's sort of like new music

In fairness, there is a lot better writing and plotlines in many modern ventures.

But the levels of propaganda and demoralization are through the roof too.

If you can manage to not see it, that's great, and I mean that sincerely. Life was easier when I couldn't.

You do have to actively not focus on what they keep trying to poke you in the eye with to enjoy it.
