Wel, you've been busy, with all those title defences.

Both shreddy but in different ways

Ephesus
----
Musikraft parts
5150 alike
Poplar body
1pc Maple neck
EVH 81/91 asymmetrical neck profile
1-3/4 wide nut
XJ frets
Single volume knob
Floyd Rose mix n match 85 Schaller 82 Fernandez
Solid steel sustain block ((not brass))
Heavyweight brass claw in the rear
Bill Edwards hand locking nut
Early Floyd style string retainer
Plus Fender style retainer for the high E
Gotoh tuners
Zero finish on the neck, my skin oils did it
Painted her myself. Later sanded down the top
Pick up is a... Duncan Custom Custom?
Man I'm crazy for not remembering that
The black tape...1 shows me harmonics
2 shows me where the jack is
And 3 holds the extra Dunlop .60 picks :)

She's my #1. Bury her with me when the time comes.

Wolfie
-----
BPG - Big Pig Guitar
eBay body alder w/maple cap
2pc Fender EVH factory maple neck
Asymmetrical Profile based on Peavey (on 5150)
1-5/8 nut width
Tiny vintage frets
Volume, tone
Arcade button momentary kill switch
Floyd Rose special and nut and retainer
Big brass block
Schaller tuners
Fernandez Sustainer w 2 switch (on/harmonics)
Custom wound BPD 22k Alnico 2 in the bridge

So the necks are all based on Eddie's Kramer 5150 shape, but one is very wide and the other very narrow (proper)

Between the pickups and steel vs brass block they sound totally different.

Ephesus can be clean and bluesy
Wolfie honks at you :)

Lol you beat me to even listing out the specs

Yeah buddy that's a high quality 24k gold plated 6mm thick brass

Late 80s early 90s WWF world champ belt, as worn by heroes like Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels

That's the 1985 Kramer logo too instead of the earlier print that'd match the 82 body. For my bday.

Oh! And Schaller strap locks

vs

Fisheye hooks and carabiners

For swinging around your neck

Except you'd want a smooth nylon strap instead of the 3.5" wide snakeskin strap (a la Randy Rhoads)

Notice how the hook is rear mounted rather than top mounted too. It DOES make the guitar sit like Eddie's.

Hhhhhokay so I just gave em a back to back run thru

They'd go well together in a band because they stand apart

But Ephesus wins by miles.

1. The 1-3/4 nut is soooo easy to play on, you can just throw your fingers around and land carelessly where you wanted without hitting other strings.

2. The 9.5 fretboard radius is much much nicer to play on than the 10-16 compound.

3. The Custom Custom does clean or growly great, whereas the 22k is just so fat it sounds like an elephant or a donkey.

4. I think Wolfie would clean up with a better bridge though. It needs a real steel Floyd and a real steel block, not a soft metal Floyd special with a brass block. It's just too much with the pickup.

5. The big frets make it FEEL scalloped. Whereas Wolfie's tiny vintage frets make it super easy to touch the wood, and super easy to bend out of tune.

The ONLY gap in favor of Wolfie appears when you solo. Ephesus old school style pickup neeeeeds a volume boost to hear it. Whereas Wolfie is so hot you can almost get away with it.
