This is totally not serious and more of an exercise than a tune. I tried to confuse myself a bit by using 7/8 instead of the usual 4/4. I actually started in 15/8 but that threw me way the heck off lol.
Anywho, tried to make this as musical as possible and I used some of the new patches I was putting together.

Let me know what you guys think.

That actually came out pretty cool. It reminds me of someone, but I can't think of who. I can hear a little bit of DT in there, as they use 7/8 on a bunch of songs, and a bit of Rush feel too, with the different time signatures. Even though it started as an exercise, you turned it into a good tune that is catchy.

Thanks Fellas, Glad you guys like it.
The intro has a totally unintentional Frank Gambale vibe, maybe the older Chick Corea's Electric Band era.

I did mix in some 4/4 in there because I needed it to flow a bit more towards some of the more melodic solo stuff.
Its actually a pretty cool exercise to set reaper to a 7/8 or any odd meter with a click going then drop a 4/4 track on it The accents jump around which in some cases adds a pretty cool moving feel to it.
I have zero theory/time signature knowledge outside of my ear and general feel so playing these little games with myself changes things up a bit.
Albeit, its not perfect but its fun.
