A couple people died, a couple got married, a couple had babies, and a few have transitioned. Okay, I just made up that last part.
I do have a few more cats though.
We still mostly hate anything with more than six strings.
Kurt's crossed over to the dark side.
It's a lot quiter around here without this Texan, a guy from Pasadena, a Floridian, and a few Bostonians.
The good news is that your used Agile ALs have appreciated in value.
Oh . . . and we're not using naughty words anymore.
Welcome to purgatory.

There's now a Strat tax in Texas. Anything over 3 is taxable

well well well. I hope toomanycats wasn't being serious when he said a couple of members had died. If so...I'm afraid to even hear who it was.
after a few years of barely touching my guitars, I started dusting them off, setting them up and playing them. i was very happily surprised to see that muscle memory is a real thing, and I really haven't lost any chops I might have had. today, I want to play more, but my fingertips are sore as hell. gotta build up those calluses again.
oh...btw, I've got a new guitar hero. Guitar Shorty. Never heard of him before a week ago...and now I cannot stop listening to him. Not only is he a killer singer, but his guitar playing is insanely tasty.
check him out if you like nasty blues.
this is the real deal. none of that Joe Bonamassa lameness.

Welcome back, Pesky. Hope things are going well for you.
As for the transitioning comment, COVID chunking has moved me up to a B cup. Does that count?

Welcome back! As for a Pelham Blue SG, if you can live with a Jr version and the Viper body shape, there's a HB available:peskypesky wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 5:57 pm

There might be a few b-stocks available for a few bucks less. I've got one and was flabbergasted by the quality of the build...

I've never been a big fan of the SG body style...having said that....adorn it with a Vibrola and a smashing color like LPB and that might look pretty dramed good on my living room wall.peskypesky wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 5:57 pmahahaha!!! Let me find one.

After the Strat, the SG is my second favorite body shape. I guess I'm partial to double cuts.Tonray's Ghost wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 8:39 pm I've never been a big fan of the SG body style...having said that....adorn it with a Vibrola and a smashing color like LPB and that might look pretty dramed good on my living room wall.

Welcome back, Pesky! As others said, forum-wise, it's been a little sad with losses and a slower rate of posts. The biggest change for me has been an increase in guitar buying, but that was a positive trend towards this value to start with, so is that really a change? I do owe a couple NGD and NAD posts to the forum...
Oh, and I HAVE transitioned! Well, transitioned from active pickups to passives... Not that you can't do both. I do have one guitar left with Fishman Fluence that I still really dig, but I've really gotten into passive HH guitars with a 5-way megaswitch for coil splitting combos.

If I had something witty to say, I'd put it here.

Hey Pesky! Hope life has been treating your well!
Ebbs and tides here. Still a lot of great folks to chat with. Less GAS going on, than that of the days of old.

Heya Pesky•••
I came back to AGF recently too and was wondering where you and a few others had gone etc.
Not much going on with me, really… been playing my Pro Jet and Tele most often lately… though I have turned my JMJM, VM Jag and Mustang into partscasters, replacing and upgrading all sorts of things (in fact, my JMJM neck is all that I kept from that guitar).
Been watching and learning a lot from YouTube channels… Puisheen, Five Watt World, 60 Cycle Hum, Rick Beato, etc
What were you up to instead of barely touching the guitar for a few years?

OMG, how can you not remember Ebbs & Tides? They're Yacht Rock legends!
