My fave will always be "Richman's Bastards". That's goddam poetry is what that is.

Yeah, that's outstanding. Always a classic. His anti-Epiphone headstock tirade was also memorable!

While Felix,Big Pig Dave, HBowner, Digger and others were before my time they are part of our community folklore and history, so lets keep remembering them. I don't have the talent or space to mod my gear but I love the threads on them so good work for the modders.recording I'll leave to Narsh,Cats and others who slay at it. I will continue general smart-assery and probably re review my gear because that might help get traffic in. Hey it's what I can do.
What I wouldn’t give to have Hbowner back...his broken English-Swedish translation sound bites were some of the best and funniest things I’ve ever read on AGF. He’s solely responsible for several AGF-isms people use here to this day.

I have my short list of AGF suspects in his "creation" but no point in listing them. Where is the fun in that? : )

We need to have this conversation!

Who really was hbowner/vesa? Let me tell you one thing . . . it was not me. I possess neither the internet skills to redirect an ISP or the linguistic skills to communicate in fluent Swedish. So just no to that.

There are some very clever and creative members of this forum, though I honestly cannot imagine anyone pulling that character off. That crazy, divorced, Swedish, left-handed, Harley Benton and bbq loving son-of-a-bitch was one of a kind!

Maybe a TBI?

There was another member who appeared to have a TBI that I have not yet seen pop up here.

Always posted interesting guitars that he had GAS for.

C'mon Cats, if I know an easy way to show an IP from various countries I KNOW you do. :D Now, if deeaa or someone else actually had a conversation with HB in Swedish? That would be harder to pull off for most of us.

Do IRC there was mention of a car wreck or similar accident that left him disabled??

It hyper-pisses me off that we cannot just do a bit of searching and find that out. I have never used the wayback machine. Is there any hope the info is there?

How can we stop going to .com when theres stuff like this

I had butterbeans for breakfast
they were the last can on the shelf
I know they were for supper
but I just couldn't help myself
I had butterbeans for breakfast
and they restored my mental health

Butterbeans and chitlin's, butterbeans and dirty rice
butterbeans and cornbread, so good some days I eat it twice
butterbeans and hamhocks, baby butterbeans and peas
butterbeans and onions, you know I eat them when I pleeeeeeeease.....

When I go out to the night clubs
I don't look for nuthin' lean
them skinny girls are alright
but not eatin' makes 'em mean
so you do what you want to
I'm takin' home a Butterbean......

Butterbeans in hot pants, Butterbeans in halter tops......
And when they take the dance floor, you know the whole buildin' rocks
Butterbeans in short skirts, Butterbeans lookin' fine
Butterbean Bikinis, they make me sweat come summertiiiiiiiime.........

When I wake up in the mornin'
with my sexy Butterbean
I'm havin' Butterbeans for breakfast
I think you know just what I mean
and you can keep them skinny girls
for me it's always Butterbeans.

HA Hah! I cannot believe it has been 10 years since I posted that set of lyrics. Nor can I believe you grabbed them and brought them back here. I Thank you, Kind Sir.

True story, that song started off about waking up depressed and couldn't find anything in the house to eat until I finally saw a can of butterbeans way back on an otherwise empty shelf. I was so down and so hungry I said what the heck, grabbed the can opener and a pot, dumped 'em in and cut up the only other food I had, a small onion, dumped it in with the butterbeans, added black pepper, heated it up and ate it. And I felt much better in a very short time.

Then the song kinda took on a life of it's own and went in a whole 'nother direction. I had a lot of fun writing that one.

Correct...he changed his username to “Vesa” for awhile, posted a few times on that, then he deleted his account and never came back. I’m sure he’s in his Swedish basement, not intonationating, eating barbecued chicken, playing his Harley Bentons and dreaming of babes and BBQ’s on a Mediterranean beach. Sigh.
but maybe he hangs out on the Harley Benton forum?
