Well, why worry? It is what it is. I for one enjoy what is here. I like to post if I think I have something to offer, when I have something to offer, otherwise I just check in to see what is going on. No one, in my opinion should feel compelled to post if they don't feel like it. That said, I am grateful to have this forum and the people who were on the original forum. I am thankful MOMO did not last long and for all the people who decided to come up with this .net site, I applaud you. Thank you.

Yeah... No sense in grousing about what once was... It prevents you from being grateful for what you have. Accept the things you cannot change... Enjoy the shadenfreude. 8-)

When I started this thread I had sat down jumped on here and it was silent and I just thought how much it would suck if this place went away. like everyone else I'm thankful for this place and everyone that emerged from the old site.

I check the site pretty regularly. I came here about a year ago when I was looking at buying an Agile guitar and asked questions. Most of you all are far more skilled and knowledgeable about things than I am so if I post something it is usually question so I generally cannot contribute much. I love to look at pictures of guitars that you all have or have just bought and listen to some of the music tracks that you post. I had looked at Agile for a several years from time to time and remember when there were all sorts of models, colors, and finishes of LP and other style guitars a few years ago. Had I known today what I did not know then I would have bought an Agile for my first guitar.

Even though I visit here everyday, I've definitely slowed down on posting because I gig almost every night and spend most of my spare time learning and practicing new material. Being a middle aged, wanna-be rock star takes up a lot of time.

That doesn't mean I'm going out in a "blaze of glory" like the pezident describes.....I just don't feel like contributing as much as I used to.
Laughed at and mocked? I wish. Any attention is better than no attention :)

I still think about this place often but I’ve been basically absent since April. I’ve had so many new and stressful changes and events, but also some good ones I haven’t taken the time to share yet.

For one, I got married in August, after being with my fiancée for 8+ years! We had a really beautiful and small gathering with our closest friends and family (covid style) which we preferred anyways. We kept it simple and elegant. My son was so thrilled that we finally made it official. He walked mom down the isle but I’ll have to share this because he was so hilarious. He came up with this outfit all on his own, mustache too! I need to get a photo where he also wore sunglasses and had a briefcase for the rings. The whole event was so much fun.

Sometimes I click "new posts" and it's empty, so I just click "unread posts" and it's usually brimming with stuff that happened before I got logged out/timed-out.
Yeah it's not as bumping as it once was, I don't think it's just us getting less action either, a lot of boards/forums I've seen are getting a little sparse with lower activity. I guess people just like the quick scroll down reddit or a social media platform, get that fix on memes and articles as streamlined as possible.

I think we should debate tubes versus SS more. That was a lot of fun. Plus everyone knows SS sucks. Then there is always the Agile versus the real thing argument that seems to attract participants in droves even though everyone knows Gibson is superior in every way.

For me, I just don't even play that much, maybe 5 minutes a week if that. I'm more interested in building guitars from scratch, and I haven't done any real work on that in months. Plus I have had a bunch of personal issues pop up recently.

I'm sure it will get better and I'll be on more, but ehh

I'm still around. I've been working a lot and dealing with some family and personal issues. Nothing to see here...

Congrats, Jimy!

Ran into this guy's channel today...filing a complaint with Google search results...ha ha h a
