Well, it is 2021. Can't really compare prices from 10-15 years ago, inflation is a thing, rising costs of materials across the board recently, etc. No company out there offers what Agile does at this price, take a look at similar quality guitars from companies that build in the same countries and same factories and you'll see they're $1000+.
It's really more like Agile was $, and now its $$. 4 $ signs would be reserved for some other brands .

I just recently sold my AL3200 I loved how well it was built and played great. I had changed out the pups with a set of Whole Lotta Humbuckers and it sounded great but it was just too heavy. I have a Gibson LP Studio and it's heavy but not as heavy as the 3200. My most played electrics these days are my Zach Myers PRS SE it weighs 7 something lbs and my SX Strat it weighs even less so I'm digging light guitars these days.

No real surprises there. Everything costs more now, and not just because of all the crazy stuff that happened the last 18 months.
On the bright side, at least the SX line is still quite affordable, maybe he can expand on that line even more.

Yeah, glad I got my Agiles when I did. I think my 2000s were 2 bills. My custom 3000M was 5 bills, with a thru neck. I'm pretty much set on guitars, pedals and amps. Actually, I'd put my Agile 3000M up against my Gibson Custom LP any day. My 3000M is my go to guitar.

I am happy to have my two AS-2000's, in white and rootbeer flame.
Those didnt have a very long "in stock" existence.
I need to rewire both, soon.

I'm glad I got my AL3100 when I did, but I always (and still) wanted to grab a black or 2TS/Tobaccoburst AL3X00 too.
I'll just payment plan another Gibson down the road now I guess. But in all honesty, I'll probably end up grabbing another one of the Mustaine Vs
Maybe that new Lzzy Hale Explorerbirds if they're still around after I get thus one paid off.and if it's still in the budget after the kid's born. Also not sure if I've mentioned here, but I will be becoming a first time dad in October at the unripe young age of 30

SX are his "Sleeper" guitars. I have 5 of them and 2 Agiles.
This is an SX LP Special I modded the ace off of. Tallied it up and ran me under $700 all in.

Inflation inflates everything. The average payment on a new car loan over 72 months right now is $712. For a guy that gets clenched over the idea of $350/month for a car (I have never had a car loan), it's a bit nuts.
And if shipping/supply chains continue to be an issue or get worse, domestic manufacturing could get stronger again.

Yeah, I'm a big SX fan. However, unlike Agile, Douglas and Hadean, SX is a brand of its own (i.e., Rondo doesn't own it, they just happen to be the sole distributor in the U.S.). And yeah the LP Special is a pretty cool catch (sorry for the fuzzy pic):LightWingStudios wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 3:21 pmSX are his "Sleeper" guitars. I have 5 of them and 2 Agiles.

but my fav is the KY1/ISIS/SIS:
I can only speak from a left-handed perspective, but it's been a couple years since there was anything on the lefty page that even remotely blew my skirt up. On top of that, Kurt has some peculiar ideas on what models and finishes to offer despite the generous advice I've given him . Of course, I'm convinced too that despite owning the brand, his input on what he can have made is limited an/or restricted...

My all time favorite Rondo guitar is the SX GG7 in my avatar.
I paid $120 (+shipping) for it as a B-stock (the original tailpiece was defective.)
Put about $580 into it in upgrades including a top quality TKL case, and it has been one of my most favorites ever since.
If I had to sell all of my guitars, it would be the last one out the door!

It has an extremely 1940's Gibson feeling neck.
And it is a better than average jazz box with a T.V. Jones Supertron as the pickup.
What more could I want??????

Inflation is brutal… but most of us have had YEARS of fun snagging all these good deals. Time to polish up the Agiles we already have and play ‘em for the rest of our days!

I'm posting about these 2 again, here. Agile AS 2000s..... solid mahogany back and sides, solid maple arched top. There have been a couple go thru Reverb in past months. But the are rare. Only offered for about a year thru Rondo. Maybe longer? Not much. These are my favorite Agile model. Same build as Gibson cs-336.
These are both newly renovated with back access to controls, and have received new full size pots with high quality pickups.
Rootbeer has unpotted low winds. White has hotter PAF style, very creamy. Both of these pickup sets sound more open and with more edge of growl in these guitars than in their former solid LP style guitars.

I disagree. There is definitely inflation over there as well. But the exchange rate shows the dollar is very strong right now.
