I've been away a bit and haven't really been playing music for a while. I backed away from most online forums after Bob's (Fullonshred) passing and have immersed myself in spending time with my family. I still have my hoard of gear and am starting to get back into music while balancing my family time. It's a difficult thing when your family has other interests. Regardless, I've missed you guys and think of you all more often than you know.

Welcome back MSC. I think taking a break from some of this online nonsense is essential, especially with all the things that have happened over the past year or so. I took a break from a lot of them, although AGF is one place I still stayed mostly connected. Hope you can join us as you see fit.

Good to see you posting again but family is the most important thing in your life so no matter what it is you do music or anything else family must be the priority. My closest family are two granddaughters that live within 10 miles from me and their families and a daughter that lives about 45 minutes away the rest are all over the country. So plenty of time to play my guitars and post on guitar forums but I would prefer family time.

Murphy is the only "family" I count anymore. 99% of the rest only remember me when they need money.

I have the same issue, even with the ones who live with me, except they remember when they need money and also when they need something fixed. My parents have even learned to call on Wednesday’s with their wish list for the weekend so I have time to order parts.

I'm with you there. I have two brothers and 2 sisters, but seem to be the only one who can fix anything for my mom. I live a couple of hours away, so I can't come over too often, but I know to bring my tools. I'm glad I can help out, but it's frustrating at 10:00 PM on a weeknight when something urgent needs fixing.

I know it has to be frustrating at times but good on you man for being there for your mom that tells me a lot about your character. My mom left this planet in 93 and I'd give anything if I could mow her yard for her just one more time.
