Maybe the name isnt gonna matter. First the main bass player/ keys guy quit. Just said he doesnt know what he wants but wasn't happy. So the guy who's more into country said he likes bass and is good at it. So we go on as 3 but the drummer who has quite the drive keeps missing rehersal. In the mean time the old bass player is everywhere at open mics praising bands that didnt sound nearly as good as what were were doing. Then the country guy starts popping up at the same jams raving about doing waylon songs with the old bass player and a pedal steel player. So he becomes less communicative but we have a time set for sun. But hes a no show so I txt and he says he had something with his mom and forgot to cancel. But on facebook I can see he has a new band with the old bass player and the pedal steel. And the name is the the other name we were considering, the telesonics.
What does that sound like to you?
I guess hes not that into you?
Ehh. I'm just not that into country to get very good at it I think. I would like to add some and was willing to work on it. But when we played the other guy seemed to steer away from his country songs and towards my classic rock. Which he knows and is good at. Maybe he wants to do both. I guess I'll see. I dont need to play with people who dont want to play with me and I dont need to play music I dont like. In the mean time I know a drummer who is always fun and plays decent. And a bass player I like. Hes not as quick on the pickup of songs but he gets them down and sounds good. Just less of an improv and more by rote.
So we'll see if it's back to the dating game for me

I find the same crock @nomadh . I always say, “you can’t hurt my feelings, but you can piss me off”. If you don’t like what I’m/we’re doing, just say so… don’t jerk me around. It’s supposed to be FUN… if you’re not having fun, you should go, and it’s best if it’s on good terms instead of standing me up or otherwise flaking out.
