Just got back from Orlando Fl - took some time off before the kids started school and hit the water park. Definitely a much needed break.
This one wrote itself inside of 2 hours end to end.
It has a few fast parts and a lot of different tones in there. Hope you guys like it.
Something Proggy to kick the week off...

Insane sweep picking right around 4:30! Insanely fast!
The big chords layered behind the solo parts remind me of more recent Fates Warning, love that stuff, makes for a huge sounding song.
And the DT style guitar solo towards the end, sounded like you were matching with keyboards, ala Petrucci and Rudess...was that a keyboard? Or two guitar runs?

So there was actually no sweeping going on there. All alt picked.
The last run was just 1 lead guitar all by itself. I went Ricky Bobby on it.

Holy crap! I was sure that was sweep picked, as it was so freeking fast. Gives me hope that one day I might be able to alt pick reasonably fast, as I've never gotten the hang of sweep picking.
And again, wow...that last solo definitely sounds like 2 guitars, or like I mentioned, the classic DT guitar and keys combo. Kudos, man, its even more impressive now! Ricky Bobby, indeed
