Serious question . . . was there a big rivalry between The Eagles and Crosby, Stills, Nash (&Young)? Now that you've made me think about it, it seems plausible. Was it like a 60s "old guard" vs 70s commercialized younger generation thing?

Not a huge Eagles fan but man, HC was lightning in a bottle! Actually, my two favorite Eagle albums are Hotel California and Desperado. I don't really give a damn about the others. I saw the Eagles on their first reunion tour. Show was boring as hell EXCEPT when Joe Walsh took the front and performed some of his songs. The Eagles performance was too choreographed. If you shut your eyes you would think that you were listening to their album instead of a live show.
