Epiphone Les Paul In Purple Burst

Good catch on that, although I don't think it was a Special II because those had wraparound bridges. It could be a regular Special because the control arrangement is pretty close, as you point out: https://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone/L ... UUQAvD_BwE
Yeah, I wasn't sure what the difference was between a Special and Special II, so I just threw them both out there. And after the "Squier Telecaster Deluxe" vs "Squier Deluxe Telecaster" confusion, I didn't want anyone to think I was talking about one of these:glasshand wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 1:01 pmGood catch on that, although I don't think it was a Special II because those had wraparound bridges. They also come in burst finishes, but I'm pretty sure purpleburst was never one of them!
I have hit the strings behind the bridge on quite a few of my guitars just for effect. It would be very tinny because of the pickup location, and with completely uncontrolled tuning of very short string lengths, which would also make it sound more tinny. I don't want to hear it strongly amplified.RockYoWorld wrote: ↑Wed Jul 07, 2021 10:12 am I can't help but be curious what the behind the bridge pickup sounds like.
