I just sprung for a CV strat, because I felt like splurging on a new guitar as a 1st paycheck in new job thing.

Have been thinking I wanted a new CV strat after selling my 60s with a 50s right handed neck late last fall.

This popped up for $150 off the current asking price and I figure with the whole free returns option, worst case I need to brave the inside of a Kohl's to return it.

Hoping Amazon warehouse deals for guitar is similar to all the other stuff where the box gets beat to crap, but the stuff inside is no worse for wear

I got a fender paramount travel from Amazon warehouse. It was flawless but they sent in in a dreadnought case, lol. (they actually wound up giving me like $50 to get another case which i used on a pretty nice bag--also on amazon warehouse, so the guitar was doubly cheap). i did wind up selling it but i think for like twice what i paid (including what i sold the dreadnought case for).

Thanks for reminding me that existed. There's some decent stuff there. And then there's this, the tele-StingRay-Floyd...

Bought a few guitars from them, condition ranging from good to like new. They did not disappoint.
And it's a risk free transaction.

I don't know whether to thank you for this information, or be mad that I came into this thread! 🤣

I remember Jim ordering from there. It arrived with an issue so he went to do a return and they gave it to him for free because it had been exposed to radiation! Of course, I might be misremembering the story but @andrewsrea will back me up on that being the general gist as he fixed the issue with the amp relatively cheaply.

Well, crap. Might be returning this.

Thomann just dropped the bomb and I think I need one of these in my life more than another strat...

Why not both the Strat and Explorer?

Never from warehouse but out of 3 guitars I’ve purchased from Amazon, 2 had to be returned. One with shipping damage the other just sucked.

I got my Custom Shop R7 Gold Top off of Amazon Warehouse for just under $2500. I was a little suspicious as to what it was doing there but like you, no risk so WTH. I can't recall what the problem supposedly was but It was flawless.

As for the HB Explorers, I've got the old one that's a straight Gibson copy. IIRC, you bought one at the time too or maybe it was @Brendan. The headstock on the new version isn't my favorite but it's definitely tolerable. I guess I'll keep an eye open for a b-stock now...

Go to the warehouse for the great deals and see thus. Yowza. I got PTSD looking at this.

I have the V too. Boy, $362 for a Harley Benton Explorer! It's not your father's Oldsmobile anymore...

Mixed results with buying from the warehouse for me. But like you say, easy returns.

BTW, buy both, you can find room.

Jim Schaffner got a couple of deals from Amazon Warehouse, including a very nice Vox AC15 with a Celestion Blue that I really liked. But the one you are recollecting I think was a Peavey Delta Blues. The story I remember it was returned from the first purchaser, Jim got it significantly discounted and it did not work when he received it. Amazon did not want it back (for radiation?), refunded his money and told him to keep it. After 30 minutes with me on my bench, it was right as rain.

@voodoorat @tobijohn Oh boy, it seems like you´ve got the wrong ones.

But you still have chance to find a new "guitar player with GAS" model wife, don´t you think? :) Look at the advantage: twice the gear!

I have 2 little girls who have two bedrooms, part of the living room, and our breakfast nook/den full of toys/dolls/stuffed animals. I'm lucky to have my 10x10 office at this point.
I have 5 guitar hangers on the walls, and 14 more on the floor in stands. I have one open slot because I sold my SG Jr, though if I ever fix one of the 5 guitars in the garage, I'll have to go back to rotation mode with guitars in cases in the closet.

If I could get more of the matching wall hangers I would consider adding 2 more spots, but I don't like the newer "plus" design that Hercules went to. Mine were blow out priced and now I know why...

So replace the five you already have with a style that's easily matched:
