Fill out a form on-line? I never did anything like that. Just heard (word of mouth) the health department would be giving
vaccines on January 6, so I showed up. Got the shot & got told to come back on February 3 plus don't forget to bring
the card showing I had the first shot already or they wouldn't give me the second shot.

There are some advantages to living in the least populated county in Floriduh. I think we are up to about 32,000 people now. :D
Bet the town you live in is larger than that!

Yes, far too many people down here. A couple weeks ago they were giving out 27000 Doses a day in our county!

I think we had to fill out the form because we went through Broward Health to get our appointment.

EGADS! You are in Broward?!? Yes, WAAAY too many people down there!
I was last there about 30 years ago when my brother lived in Lighthouse Point.
They have since retired to Winter Haven which has way fewer people! (too many people there too!)
So I'll likely never see Broward County again. :D

They just opened that up here in WI too ( pfizer only ) for 16 and 17 year olds. My oldest son who turns 18 next month got his first shot on Sunday - he's graduating from HS this year and going into EMT/Fire Science. He scored a part time job working in the ER of a local hospital this summer and they require a vaccine for all employees and it seems like a good thing to do anyway if he'll be hanging out at a hospital!

Second shot yesterday, feeling a bit groggy today, not unlike waking up after a busy New Year Eve party .. or at least what I remember of them!
Big afternoon nap, which is totally out of style for me.

Was just reading about some doc's stories about their dying Covid deniers. Good grief.

Got this as an email from a friend who just got their 2nd shot this morning:

"I'm glad I got the Pfizer. My 5g is so good I can be a mobile hotspot"

Hmm... I must be searching for a tower?
I am sure I will feel better if I step outside.

I got my second shot of Pfizer yesterday evening. I woke up with fever, headache, and fatigue. I’m finally starting to feel a little better as the day goes on.

Mild headache on day after. Staying home. Eat food and nap.

I have a wee headache.

Probably not helping that all the palo verde and mesquite are in full on oom and it is windy as a mother again today.

On Monday they OK'd those over 40 to get the Astra Zeneca vaccine. Spots filled up fast in the Ottawa area, so I am on many waiting lists.

My manager cast his net wider, and he is heading down the road a couple of hours to his hometown to get the first shot tomorrow. Lucky SOB.

J&J on March 22. Flu like symptoms, body aches, congestion, headaches, nausea for about 1 week. Started about 3 days post jab. Finally getting my lung capacity back after about 3 weeks. Allegedly my immune system doing its job.......ok sure. Took a vaccine 70% effective for a virus with a 99.5% recover rate.

Better today but not 100%. I'm also simultaneously dealing with allergy issues due to the weather and time of year. I don't have a fever anymore and the fatigue is better. Now if I could get my nose to quit running like a facet, I'd be much happier.

True that! Allergens are terrible this year....add sinus issues on top of side effects. I must drink 2 gallons of water daily.

I'll take those odds any day, especially when the cost is low (possibly feeling crappy for short time) and the potential risk ( death ) is measurable. I just lost another friend who was otherwise healthy and it took him out in about a week. We had a board meeting he attended via phone and said he wasn't feeling all that well and was going to get tested, 7 days later he died.

Had a crappy hours 12 through 24, alternately freezing or burning up, woke up every hour from midnight until 6. Now the fever has subsided, and I just have the fatigue and a headache.

Going to try to just sleep through it.

And then I almost passed out making a pbj for my daughter at about 6pm and slept until 6am and felt like nothing happened except I am dehydrated as hell.

Wife barely had any side effects...she said I had side effects because I wanted them and she didn't because she willed herself not to.

The City of Houston just announced that access at the main city site is no-registration, walk-up Pfizer for anyone over sixteen. No line as of this morning.

Every member of my band has now had at least one shot! It will be a relief to be able to practice without the masks and all trying to stand as far apart as possible.

And NYC just announced that all vaccination sites are all-ages walk-in as of today.

Got my 2nd shot yesterday at 830 a.m. Tried to keep moving all day to keep my mind off of it, sore arm, but that is it. I didn't drink anymore or less than I usually do, but today I have a pretty decent hangover. Stiff, headache, groggy. Luckily all I have to do is be outside in 92 degree weather while my son is racing at the track. This will be a long day.

The NYT has an article today about "exponential decay" of rate of infection.

That is, we experienced exponential rise, but same phenomenon will present itself on the way down, infection rate will drop fast, eventually leading to herd immunity. With a few spikes as things get relaxed, and a lingering slow tail.

I hope they are right. A good friend and old neighbor of mine was just hospitalized yesterday with the "newer" strain (confirmed), he's in his mid 40's and otherwise pretty much healthy. Not on a ventilator yet, hoping the therapy they are giving works before that. Based on what I'm hearing in our hospitals it seems like there are fewer people getting sick, but the ones that do are in general getting sicker than before.

He had not had a shot yet so there's that too, but I hope people still continue to use some kind of common sense and don't just blow the doors open.
