I gave up on Rondo when Rondo gave up on lefties and went to all those EGR's with crazy numbers of strings.

I tried buying a Harley Benton at Thomann yesterday but my PayPal was having none of that, so I looked at Rondo for the first time in ages and ended up buying a guitar and case figuring that if I wait any longer there won't be anything left. Sad times for sure.

Rondo is not the only one in this state, check Kurt’s Covid blog on the main page for updates. At work we are looking at 3-5 MONTH wait times on laptops and desktop computers right now. Carmakers are halting production due to component/chip shortages.

Bottom line, we’ve become spoiled and being able to get whatever we want, whenever we want will take a backseat for a bit methinks.

I have one of those and it sounds great unplugged, and like all the STD+ I have, sounds warm and full with good PAF styled humbuckers. I'll be interested to know the weight of it.
Congrats. Mine feels great in hand. I did have to fret level some of my Callistos, but even that was very worth the effort as the guitar then is a LP gem for so little money(comparatively). Then, again, the others showed up already playing like gems. Very close to an Agile AL feel, IMO. Except the lighter weight. And the mini horn, odd that they seem exactly the same.

Probably what I need. Only takes three notes to make a triad. Maybe one of those cigar box guitars. You could probably play enough major and minor chords to play a good bit of country, rock, and pop.

Covid has gutted their already depleted 6 string inventory.
I was in Guitar Center the other day and even they had a large blank spot on their wall that, in the past, would’ve been filled with guitars.

Speaking of bygone era, even the used Agile market is comparatively dried up. Luckily I have a bunch of them, but I was just reminded of what that market was like today when I pulled my AL-3500 into rotation. It was great to play that one again. I have a habit of making photo-id hang-tags for the cases of good guitars, and this one was suspiciously lacking that hang-tag, so I went to my data and made the tag. When I was pouring over the specs, I noticed I paid a whopping $275.99 for this amazing beast of a guitar (used). No chance of such deals today.

I think it's the only one I ever saw up for sale, but the decision took mere seconds.

Wow! Great deal on a great guitar! Made me think about pulling out my 3000 neck thru and playing it for a while:

I'm not going to tell you what I paid, cause, well I bought it new. But it was a great deal IMO, because there were few people like me who would buy a neck thru with a traditional heel. But I LOVE it!

I've seen a handful of 3500's here and there but not many. There was that one in birds-eye maple that had the "finish cracks" in the headstock that was floating around Reverb forever and I think was at Guitar Center for a while too. Other than that, though, they are pretty rare. Even rarer is of course the 4000, which is basically a 3500 with Duncan Pickups, i've never seen one of those for sale.
