...now more than ever.

This guy was an amazing player and has inspired nothing but love from the guitar community. Let's help him a little with some mojo and prayers.

What a horrible disease and to cut him off so young and lock him in a chair for 30 years with so much promise. Lets pray someday they figure out a way he breathes fine on his own and can walk and play again.

One of my colleages died of ALS and it indeed one of the most horrible/terrifying things I have ever witnessed in my life. She was one of my direct reports and wanted to keep working as long as she could, but her body just gave up. The really horrifying thing is that your mind is not affected at all, so you get to literally watch your body die all around you and slowly lose control until you die. Mojo to him and his family to find peace.

My cousin has it, and I don't want to even imagine it.

I felt for Jason Becker at the time too: he gets the most coveted open guitar job in rock, and then gets diagnosed. That just sucks on multiple levels.

He has persevered and written music since then, which is really awesome.

I hope that this isn't the end.
