As some may know....thepezident is more proficient on the drums than the guitar.
Drums are for cavemen.
Guitars are for musicians.
Anyhooo....My band was fortunate enough to get a gig at a local restaurant.
It's a restaurant at the municipal golf course.
I guess my town operates its own golf course.
Capacity in PA is at 50% and our guitar player's wife reserved a table for 12 cheerleader moms.
The bass player brought 10 people...
PEZ brought no one....
Reservations were fully booked by mid-week.
A great feeling for the band!
We played from 7:30-8:55...
Came back on at 9:15 and played until 10:30.
Manager told us that was it.
There were still about 20-30 people there so I was a little confused why we weren't playing a 3rd set but ok...
Maybe people had stopped drinking?
PA does also have a rule that you need to be eating in order to be drinking...
You can't just sit at a table and drink. And you can't sit at a bar....
Needs to be a table.
Don't ask me.......
The gig went really well.
We were really well received.
People were up out of their seats dancing at their tables in the 2nd set.
A guy came up to me as I was packing up and asked where else he could see us.
I told him to tell the manager to have us back and he said he already did.
It's nice to get that kind of feedback!
Here are links to both sets.
thepezident raps in the 2nd set at the 42:00 mark and then plays
guitar on the song after that. (Take it on the Run)

Set 2
Go to the 42:00 mark for the good stuff - Pez plays guitar around 47:00 mark

The place is setting up an outside tent and I've heard we'll be invited back to play outside.
All in all...a great night.
Bass players wife ended up projectile vomitting 4x after the gig...
Thankfully, she made it outside....
Took the manager 3 bucketfulls of hot, sudsy water to wash it away.

PA sounds an awful lot like Ontario (Canada) with all those senseless motherhood laws... but at least you were able to play a successful gig!

That was great. So cool to see some live music again. Fun setlist and it was wild to see all the genre bending. The mix was s little drum heavy (for some reason) seriously if you're recording to critique yourself dont bother you were solid I'd love to hear and see the fog video. I suspect it's all better than even this video shows. Also were the harmonies as tight as they seemed? Really amazing and the sign of a very solid band.
The cameraman definitely seemed to focus more on one of the band members than the others. It really stands out in the second video when the drummer sings and plays guitar for a couple songs and the camera seems to follow him.
I love the set list with its wide mix of songs and the band sounded great. I would go see that act if I was allowed to demask and enjoy a few beverages for the evening. I just don’t want to sit anywhere near the bassist’s wife!

Maybe that's why PA wants you to eat as well as drink..thepezident wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 10:18 am ...Bass players wife ended up projectile vomitting 4x after the gig...

So the vomit is chunkier and harder to clean up?tobijohn wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 10:39 pmMaybe that's why PA wants you to eat as well as drink..thepezident wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 10:18 am ...Bass players wife ended up projectile vomitting 4x after the gig...

Well, it's been over three decades but IIRC, I was much less likely to get to that state if I had some food in my stomach. And the antidote for a Stoli or Jack overdose was always greasy sliders...
