My guitar preferences are too conservative for what everyone else wants. No candy colors or bologna for me.

If Kurt wanted to make a go at a ES295 I'm all ears.
There might have been one but I've never seen it. Long ago in a galaxy far away he did but the body shape was exactly the same as the Gibson version and they let him know with a C& D that they didn't appreciate it, hence the symmetrical horns on AD-3200MCC and this one.

I too wouldn't mind a LP sized semi-hollow. the original ES-295 though seems to have a much thicker body than an LP though. I'm not up on my Gibson models but i believe they curranty offer both single and double cutaway LP sized ones. I don't know what Epiphone s up to in that regard.

I think I've seen a previous Agile single cutaway semi-hollow LP sized model but I can't be sure...

I would but i don't have the graphic skills or time for the learning curve necessary to do it correctly. I just have two images up simultaneously and look at each with the opposite eye closed...:)

Well, if it was easy, I would have done it myself!

I am going to vote TVV design, but having a series of matching AD’s isn’t a bad idea either. As long as it has soap bars and not dog ears. And fret markers. If Kurt does make another run of Harms, ask if he can put normal centered fret markers on them.

The specs will undoubtedly be the same as the AD-2250 (which I told Kurt I referred to as the Agile version of the Ford Edsel).

I'll ask again about the Harm and mention fret markers:

As for finishes, I'm bored to death with the previous AD flat top ones which IIRC, were almost without exception dark cherry, different versions of yellow all called TVY, 2TS and white (although I do have a black flame AD-2000). Obviously, in my world, I'd love a CSB burst but I also realize most around here throw up a little in their mouths when they see one. I don't know if those limitations are due to Kurt's preferences or the factory but I'll ask him what the realistic alternatives are...

I'd even go for a ES295 TD if it meant lower manufacturing costs.

A LP sized hollow doesnt cut it. They're already readily available (GFS for example), as are double cut Jrs/Specials (Firefly for example). IYV has a big jazz box style with a Florentine cut out but its gaudy as all hell.

Speaking of which, does anyone remember the AL-2900? I've never seen one for sale, new or used:

I certainly remember when Rondo was selling the 2900, unfortunately, I never latched on to one.
Neither have I ever seen one for sale used, guess that ought to tell us something? :D

Thats nice, solid mahogany body, chambered. So thats like the later AS-2000, but with mahogany top vs maple top, at about 2/3 the cost.

Agile is mostly getting out of my price range. Is there any consideration about executing these ideas in the SX product line?
For instance if that last DC agile came out as an SX but had the reviews of the new SX lp I would of had to bite. Same for a fixed neck slab dc lp jr.
Same for the SX harm.

Kurt doesn’t own the SX brand or have any control. He is just an importer for the US market.

I mentioned that to him but he didn't answer directly, only saying that now it's harder to get product from SX/Douglas/Hadean than it is Agile..

He must have some input, given how much the SX Callisto looks like an Agile AL, down to the stubby horn and swishy headstock.

That's what I thought too, that's why I suggested SX/Douglas/Hadean as an alternative. There once was a Douglas version of the Harm:

OK, time to poke the Rondo bear again regarding this project. What finishes do you guys think would be decent sellers that aren't dark cherry, 2TS or something Rondo previously referred to as TVY but really wasn't?

Could go some new direction like a mahogany semi hollow strat with two f-clefts and a full maple cap, mahogany center block. Just make sure the neck pocket is exactly fender spec. HHH route for pup type mods. Maybe a 3 p90 version, too.
Route out semi-hollow chambers as large as possible.

I'd be in the mood for more pastel type offerings. Everything I own is basic black, 2ts/3ts, dark reds/blues, or natural except for my oceanburst.

I'd love either Gulf Blue or seafoam green.

Maybe a Sage green?Image

I wonder if they'd consider doing one of these with a wood like limba...a black limba body with a transparent finish would be amazing. But otherwise maybe a pelham blue?

I'd definitely be onboard for something like Pelham Blue. I also would think if it was a finish previously offered then there would be less of a chance for a screwup and more of a chance it would actually look like what it was described as. There were a few previous Agiles that had finishes described as Lake Placid Blue but all were different hues:

https://www.rondomusic.com/harm2solid6.html (scroll down on the listing page)

I also found an Al-3200MCC in Seafoam Green that @honyock mentioned:

I miss the old Harms. Had one and sold it. Foolish. Don’t own any Agile’s anymore. I could go for some type of Harm with the tummy cut as mentioned somewhere in this thread. Don’t know how I would feel in 8 months if it takes that long though.
