I have a few IYV's (aka "IVY" on Amazon). Build quality is good, though sometimes a little sloppy (paint runs off in to binding, binding in F hole not perfect etc.).
For the money, they can't be beat.

I'm kinda digging this golden tele on Amazon, by "Leo Jaymz".
All mahogany body and veneer. 199$. Seems they had trouble with box color labelling mistakes a few months ago.

By watching reports it seems ivy has been having some qc issues . Things like needing nut work and fret leveling but after that people seem really happy.

Count me in the happy camp!

I have purchased several IVY/IYV guitars, including the IJZ-300 jazz box. For the money, all have been fine guitars (I would say some were even excellent). I have not needed to do a fret level on any. A good set up was all that was needed.

As is typical of guitars in this price range, there are fanboys & there are naysayers. Fanboys claim they are worth 10 times the price & naysayers say they are best used as kindling. I am more to the middle of the bell curve.

What is interesting in IYV/IYV's case is that the manufacturer has been participating in the conversation online. Unfortunately, the only practical way to buy these right now is through Amazon. That seems to help on price (& easy returns), but limits selection & availability.
