I have always gotten spam calls on my phone. It used to be not too bad, maybe 1 or 2 a day. Recently it has gotten WAY worse. One day I got about 60 calls about health insurance. It seems like I constantly block numbers, one after another, all day, every day. My spam calls have gone down to about a dozen a day, but I got at least 20 yesterday. It's annoying as hell!

How many calls are you getting, and do you use a spam blocking app?

I started using the function to silence unknown numbers, but it was silencing too many work calls. But I get a ton that are labeled "Spam risk" so at least I don't have to answer them. I get at least 1 per day about my vehicle's extended warranty, and I usually get 1-2 a day about medicare on my office phone, even though I'm about 20 years too young to be worried about that. I think the former owner of the company used my number for personal reasons or something, as I get calls for him too.

I have two different numbers. One is a Nashville TN number that I got back in 1998. It is a VOIp number served by Vonage.
I get maybe two or three SPAM calls per year on it.

The other is a local number here in the Floriduh Panhandle that I got from AT&T back in 2017.
As a rule, I get several dozen SPAM calls on it per day.

typically once a day i get an unknown caller that doesn't leave a voicemail and i therefore ignore. very occasionally (maybe once a week?) my potential spam filter kicks in. i did sign up for a do not call list years ago, but i have no idea if that made any difference. i would be livid if i was getting a dozen junk calls a day :x

I have been getting a lot more lately, and some even leaving voicemails in robo-generated voices. Especially people extremely concerned about my vehicles warranty, and also the "CPB Border Patrol" about some package of drugs and guns confiscated at the border.

I've never answered my phone unless I know who it is, and most of the time just leave it on silent.

I get about 1 a week that's already blocked. I was getting 1or 2 a day for a month from solar salesman who were insistent that I did own a home and should listen. Finally got them blocked or realizing I'm not a homeowner.

This week I am getting about 2 a day, which is more than usual. I never answer calls from numbers I don't know. Anyone with something of any significance can leave a message and I'll get back to them. My theory there is that answering them would increase the frequency and number of unwanted calls.

There is a certification feature in email. We turned it on 15 years ago where it would only show emails that our server pinged back and confirmed that address sent it. No one had the feature enabled so we had to stop doing it. That feature should be pushed hard and defaulted on. And the feature should be enabled through phone calls somehow. A way to confirm the number it says it is is correct. Until then we are doomed. I get a few a day

We get a ton nowadays on the home phone (yeah, I know, the wife requires it, and its a free Google Voice account, so no money) which is a number we've had for more than 25 years. Thankfully they just pile up and I mark them as spam. What sucks is they are spoofing the local numbers...I figure at the rate I block numbers, my entire area code will be blocked soon :-)

2-4/day. Usually for extended car warranties. I haven’t owned a car since 2007.

I don't get many. Maybe a couple per week. My wife gets a half dozen or more per day.

Very few.

My wife and I use Robonomore on our mobile's. We were using that on our VoiP line, but our cable provider is now (by law) providing a similar service for free.

Also, get on the 'do not call' registry.

I was getting two a day on both my land line and on my cell so I did a reup on the government do not call list and they seem to have stopped. I don't think there are any teeth in the law so I don't expect it to last. What I hate and think is dangerous is the fact that they spoof your area code which always makes me wonder if its a friend in trouble or junk call. If you answer these calls then they call again so its a problem knowing whether to answer or not.

Used to use the DNC Registry - even put in complaints. Did nothing. Switched our home phone to Google Voice many years ago and no longer have a mic or phone hooked up to use it as a functional VOIP so all the calls get marked as Spam or Blocked. I never answer my cell because...I am retired. Now my wife...she struggles and feels the need to answer too many spammers that call her cell. She is finally getting a little better but she get TONs of calls on her cell.

Dropping our land line—almost all we get is junk calls, and bad quality audio. Just bought a Motorola G Power hand-held device as my iPhone 4 was laughably outdated and was getting crap support from tracfone.
Amazing—3-4 day battery, all kinds of bells and whistles, 3 cameras, and somebody told me that if you dig deep enough, it even has a telephone …
