Yeah, I have two young kids, sooo.....padding likely required.

Those hangers look like they’d hold on to a kid’s t-shirt, or a diaper pretty solid.

I mean they might be for me in a couple of years (brown sound!), but the kids should be done.

I have string swings all over the house and love them. I also have a few cheaper string swing knockoffs from ebay or somewhere. They work just as well, but the wood isn't quite as nice. As a side note, if you screw the string swing into a stud, it is rock solid. Typical stud spacing is 16" on center, and that spacing is just right for guitars to sit side by side. It's almost like the wall is made for guitars.

Correction. The world was designed around the guitar. First God made the guitar, THEN he invented mankind to play it for him.

Of one is on a budget, how about the Y-shaped wall hooks? Screwed into a wall stud, of course. I honestly don't know if these are a viable solution, but it's a thought.

I've used those. You have to angle them for some headstocks, like Fenders....but they work. I had about 8 guitars hanging on my wall in NYC when I lived there.

My 4 main guitars go on String Swing standalone hangers. I do recommend them.

I've got 5 more guitars on this slat style hanger. The slat is a diamondLife hanger. It works, but it felt over priced seeing as I also had to order the hangers that go on it. I got these longer, angled String Swing holders so that they go over my acoustic treatment. Worked out well.

And I've got 2 String Swing horizontal holders for the basement. I have an empty one where my Agile Ghost used to sit. These are kinda pricey but are good for guitars you want to display.

I was wondering about that last holder. I was thinking about mounting it on a good tripod stand as an acoustic holder but of course it impacts the neck. Does that arm extend to hold at the head?

Not sure how it would mount on a tripod stand. With the last holder in my post, it's basically just a hood that supports the neck like your hand when you hold a guitar. They do make versions specifically for acoustic guitars since the bodies are too thick to fit in the electric version.
